So my friend and I were trying to take apart his SR-60s to woody them (a little ridiculous yes, but we want to see how nice we can make them and we want to get some practice before we try anything a bit more expensive). To make a long story short, after much difficulty in getting the drivers out with the recommended ways we found on the forum, we found a new way. We set his oven to 225 degrees F and put in the headphones for about 10 minutes. Sure enough, they came right off. Just thought I would post this idea, because the hairdryer didn't work for us and this way seems a bit safer than the hot water idea. Needless to say the driver still work great and it should be a safe way to do it. Hope this helps anyone trying to mod their Grados!

That seems a bit scary to me, especially for that long, the hairdryer even scares me at the thought of more or less shrinkwrapping my drivers. The spoon works wonders though.
