When I was using this combo the MAY KTE it was a magical sound, but for my listening taste nothing to date ever bested my WA33 EE with KR HP tubes, Susvara OG, Chord Dave & MScaler and Innuos Statement truly end game sound.

Got my WA6SE in March too, using Sophia 274B + 6EW7s. Tried others but always came back to the Sophia. K701 sounds amazing with it tight bass, clear highs. HD650 is good, but K701 wins for me. DX1000 didn’t click. Love this amp.

Looking to make a move into tube amps and wanted to get an idea of heat thrown from the WA23. I know the WA33 does tend to get hot and thought I remember hearing the wa23 and wa24 run cooler. Currently running a K-Dac with Broadway and Diana TC's as a daily driver and am very pleased but its been a while and looking for a change. I generally sit about 5 foot from the stack so I was worried a wa33 would just get to hot. Probably a weird pairing K-dac to wa23 but im curious to try it.
