RE0 graph is out on Rin's blog. Treble seems just as peaky if not more than the GR07. Distortion however is extremely low. Channel matching is excellent. I was on the fence about RE0's treble, and the dips start a bit lower than I predicted. I wonder if this is typical of the RE0 since most people seem to rave about the linear and extended highs, which I'm not hearing or seeing in Rin's graph either.

That 7khz peak on the gr07 has significantly greater amplitude so the sibilance range should be more pronounced.

Quite true. Dippy is probably a better descriptor lol. Still it graphed a bit better than I anticipated, expecially in comparison to the 262 and 272 which don't look all that different.

Anyone got some good ideas how to equalize GR07s? Or they don't really need to be equalized?

Also, what level of fit is considered the best? For example those double flank tips are perfect fit for me - it's pretty much vacuum in my year, so i guess it's considered best? However it's quite strenuous on my ears and head due to that vacuum. ;p

Sigh.  I have to pay freight costs both ways back if I want to be able to replace the defective unit.  There isn't even a list of authorized resellers stated by VSonic that I can find...  Kind of ridiculous that I'm paying money for something that isn't my fault.

If buying from Lendmeurears (authorized dealer) then you need to pay only to ship to them and they will pay their shipping costs when they ship back to you.

Alas, I bought it from Amazon, and because well I assumed Amazon was relatively trustworthy (and I thought it was being sold by VSonic directly) and now I'm out 180 USD.  Good times -_-

Isn't it ridiculous that it will cost you more if THEY sent you a broken product?

And do the BE have the same nozzle as the MKII?

Well yeah, but that's pretty much everyone this way, if something is defective even with warranty you waste time and money. On Lendmeurears at least shipping is free when you are buying new one.

Don't know about nozzle.

Coming from the Brainwavz B2's (DBA-02's) with Etymotic tri-flanges, I'm thinking about purchasing the GR-07 MKII's for a different sound. I will be keeping my B2's to be able to switch between sound signatures when I'd like to (or maybe when running, since the B2's with tri-flanges are great for that).

What would be the best tips for the GR-07 MKII's compared to the Ety tri-flanges? I prefer deep insertion of the tips with a good, seal that stays. I've read different things (i.e. Sony Hybrids, Jays silicone)
The Etymotic tri-flanges also seem to fit, but do they give the best experience? Or should I go for a completely different pair of tips, because of the different sound signature and because I plan on still using the B2's?

Thanks :)

I just got the pair of Jays foam tips that I bought recently off shotgunshane.

The man is right! They're definitely the best sounding tips I've heard used on the GR07. I'm always a bit hesitant to use foam tips because they tend to muffle the overall sound.

Not this one. I'm noticing just about as much clarity vs the MH1C tips, and soundstage doesn't seem to have suffered.

The best part about these tips is that they seem to smooth out the frequency response by taming any resonant peaks that may be present.

I think I might invest in my own pack (or two) now, just so I'm covered for the foreseeable future.

Thanks to putente and sgs

Which are these Jays foam tips you are talking about exactly?

One of these?

Neither. They've actually been discontinued, ad the one place I bought them from seems to have run out.

I haven't bought these myself, but have found the seller link in this thread: http://www.head-fi.org/t/596019/where-to-buy-jays-silicone-tips

I think these are the ones people recommend, but it'd be good for someone who has them to confirm: http://stereotypeaudio.com/our-brands/jays/jays-silicon-sleeve-l-white.html

They seem to have both white and black, browse through the Jays brand list: http://stereotypeaudio.com/our-brands/jays.html

Thanks. Could anyone else confirm this, since then I'll be trying these bad boys

-edit- Oh: and what to get!? L or S?! How should I know? If the Ety's tri-flange's are perfect, what fits me better, S or L? Any help is greatly appreciated as I will be ordering these from the Netherlands.
