I'm sure it'll be enough to bug you.

Don't be embarrassed...I did the exact same thing a few days ago. I think when you don't push the cable together all the way you only hear one channel, so you really hear that soundstage explode as you plug the cable in.

I knew something was off, but didn't really know for sure until I noticed that some parts of songs were missing (the parts that panned between left and right).

Well, I just put on the dunce cap.

After hours of listening, then re-reading this entire thread, and the descriptions of the sound of the triple's, and wondering what was going on, I glanced down at the interface between the extension cable and the regular cable, I noticed some metal showing..... had not pushed the two connectors fully together. DOH!

Woo Hoo! I just pulled the trigger on a pair of triple-fi's from Earphone Solutions. I couldn't resist that 15% off sale price (which is off their already discounted price). Thanks for the tip guys!

OK, so now I have a technical question. My current work listening setup is Foobar->USB->Headroom MicroDAC->Gilmore Lite. The TFs will replace my HD497s.

Anybody know if the TFs will work well with the Gilmore amp? It seems kind of overkill for driving IEMs. I could probably use them straight out of the DAC, but I have no other immediate use for the GL amp. I assume the included "Sound level attenuator" is a resistor -- would that be a good thing to use with the GL amp?

Wow $288 including postage. I was going to get the triple fi's last month but got a laptop instead. Now I'm low on funds >_> How long do you guys think this 15% deal will last.

hey those in the US, I'm not from the states, so just wanted to clarify some things. if i were to ship to a friend in the State of Michigan, i'd have 6% sales tax on top of the price listed on earphonesolutions?

and does the free US shipping have tracking no and insurance?

edit: okay i just took a shot at free international shipping with these. hope i'm not disappointed!
