  guys,

hope you FiiO service desk / product managers pick this up.  The FiiO does NOT connect with latest version on Mac OS anymore.  Connecting it to the Mac does not open any of the two drives.  Any chance you can look into this?

thanks a lot
c

Hi, casaba73
Could you please tell us the firmware version of your X5? Have you try another USB ports and USB cables for help?

No, completely false. The X5 has a coaxial output with it's own jack. The X5ii has a coaxial out shared with the line-out jack. Neither of them output audio through USB OTG. The only USB output for the x3ii/X5ii/X7 is with FiiO's proprietary 11pin USB docks.

Oh, wait... is it my AK120ii that uses optical out of the headhpone jack? Sorry. I never use these features, I think I got it mixed up.

Thank you for clarifying.. I have only found one DAP so far that does USB OTG digital out, and that is the Shanling M1.. But it uses a hard to find USB C cable...

The Cayin i5 also uses a USB C to coaxial to output using USB. The Onkyo DP-X1 outputs using USB OTG. The AK70, AK240, AK300, AK320, AK380 can output using USB OTG.

Fw2.6 and Yes tried different USB cables and ports

OSX Sierra has been reported to have issues with many USB connected DACs.

You waited thirteen hours just to add the word "and" into your post, yet you still don't have a period at the end of the sentence.

Why are you doing this to my brain? Especially when you can just edit your post to add whatever words or punctuation you desire.

Is this the first stage of an initiative to destroy us all? I feel it must be. Nothing else makes sense.

Hi FiiO, thanks a lot.  I did upgrade to FW2.7.  However no change, i.e. it still does not recognise the drive.  Any other ideas?

Hi, csaba73
So does the USB cable you use have data transfer function? If you are using the PC, please try the USB ports in the back panel to see whether it helps? But DAC and USB mode fail to be recognized by your computer? Would other computer recognize it? Or we are afraid it may be hardware issue.
