Does anybody know if this http://www.meenova.com Mini MicroSD Card Reader can be used with the HS6 Stacking Kit in place.

It looks like it might be a tight fit.

Thanks in advance.

I just tried it. It is a perfect fit - actually very tight.

I don't think any mod is desirable necessary but worst case scenario you could sand 1/2 a millimeter off the top surface of the HS6.

It will work fine.

Thanks for that, I ordered the card reader and I am still waiting on the post.

As I leave my stacking kit in place all the time it would be a hassle to keep taking it off when using the reader.

I have no problem sanding if its required.

We are gathering requirements for what will hopefully be upcoming support for M3U playlists on the X3 and X5. We would like to hear your input on required features, specifically which existing player(s) you consider to have the best M3U support.

Joe Bloggs, is it possible that the X5 will can show in the future the entire cover of a song (I thing many people here hope that)? Maybe with a slow movement of the cover, or the possibility to chose different looks in the settings. The screen resolution is beautiful, and it is sad that we can't enjoy the entire cover, but only 2/3.

Hi. Can current owners tell me if the DAC or amp part of the X5 is "better"? I would like to explore the possibility of using its line out to an e12 for more oomph? Thanks in advance.

To me, neither one lets down the other. Given that, E12 is still technically a better sounding amp than the one in X5. However, you need to bewared that - if your headphone is very sensitive, the X5+E12 combo might be a bit too powerful to use. (i.e. a slight turn of the E12's volume knob and it gets too loud too quick). In that case, the finer digital volume control on the X5's headphone-out might be a better in practice.

Thanks for the quick response. I'm thinking of adding it only when necessary. Luckily the volume knob on my e12 is quite stiff. Cheers

It's really weird that someone report that gapless works fine now, while others have problems with it with the new firmware. Any thoughts?

I just received my player a few days ago.  I upgraded to 2.0 as soon as it came out of the box.  My gapless since I've tested it has a distinct gap.  Could it be it doesn't work well with MP3s?  Could it be I need to be patient and not fast-forward to the end of the song before I test the gapless?  Not sure yet.

I've found that gapless playback works beautifully with FLAC files, but MP3s generally perform badly, with conspicuous gaps between tracks. Can you try converting MP3 to FLAC and see if that fixes the issue?
