The Fiio X5 Thread

I dun know exactly. It's really strange cause my X3 's very hot when charging. Can James give us which adapter suit with X5. 5v-1A or 5v-2A or something else ????

It is hot because that's how Li-ion behaves when charged. But unless it is much hotter than a smartphone after some very intensive 3D gameplay, there is really no real concern there.

Get the biggest current output USB adapter you can find, but even a 0.5A adapter will work just fine (except for a longer charging time). One thing to note is that the really cheap eBay charger might burn-out when it is over-drawed (because of the lack of protection circuit inside) - but that's not limited to charging X5 and can happen to charging any demanding USB devices.

X5 is getting very hot while charging. I'm using the provided USB cable with my note 3 3-pin plug ( plug that singapore uses ). Any ideas why and suggestions?

it is ok cause the charging current is about 1.5A or even higher if it is power on .

So I brought my portable hard drive (which I keep backup files of all my hi-res music on) and spent all night tagging the files properly. Took about 4 hours, but now it will be much easier to search for my music once I upload my albums tomorrow. Still haven't figured out how to add album art yet though. Maybe that will be a project for another night.

you can use perfect tunes or media monkey for that. I use both.

U mean I should turn the player On then charge rite ? Is it ok with 5v-2A adapter

yes, 5V/2A is OK, and I means the X5 will be more warm when it is power on, so the best is charge it while power off.

My goodness those accessories look great. I'm tempted to get the E12, not for any auditory reason, but just because it looks so cool as a stack. :-D
