  Hmmm, check this out
Looks like it doesn't stick out much.. Would there be any downsides to just using this for a 3rd micro sd slot? Faster battery drain, I'm assuming?

Are you trying to plug that into the USB OTG cable that came with the X5 and plug it in the bottom?

I just tried, didn't work

I got one, arrived quick enough, quality is ok. Not sure if it will work with the X5 since I didn't have the chance to test it.

if my memory serves me well, the USB OTG implementation is not in yet, still waiting for future firmware update.

You right. But im guessing USB-OTG already in place to act as USB host, like to connect external storages and FW update in the near future to use X5 as USB-DAC.

yes, we already have firmware which supports OTG and DSD, but we have a lots work to improve the compatibility.

BTW, the x3 and X5 will only supports DSD 64 and not hardware mode which means the DSD will change to PCM inside the SOC first.

So will they be just converting DSD to PCM on the fly, similar to what foobar and JRiver computer programs do? Which means it won't be native DSD that is being played?

That should be a given - if you look into X3's DAC, it doesn't even support DSD playback on the hardware level, so it must be done on the software level.

ok so six days to Dx90 release information. It's going to be a shootout between dx90 and x5. Calyx M is still delayed for international release. So many choices this is great! Just bad for me wallet. Gotta get my th900 so can't afford 3 daps :frowning2:
