Gives me more time to save

I just bought the HD700 - so am a little strapped anyway.  Also part of the Alpha Dog 'world tour' when it eventually gets here - and am kind of worried that if I really like that one, I'll end up getting it as well.

True... I just splurged on the JVC Victor FX850... Sold off the UHA760 to fund that puppy. Can't wait to hear them for myself. Really did like the FX700 but the bass and mids were an issue. Lets see if this new iteration fixes that for me :).

Just googled it - nice looking IEM.  Let me know where you write your impressions once it arrives - interested !

On a lighter (or even more sinister) note, they delayed the X5 again... :frowning2:

Ouch! Where did you hear that? How long? I am going through some serious withdrawals here after sending on the tour unit.

thanks for the response. I would expect X5 to be a lot better than the dacs u mentioned, naturally. But would like to know how X5 stand against the more capable USB DAC.

In the preview tour I compared the X5 to the Apex Glacier - in the review section if you may want to read.

  European buyers, FYI:
Sandisk Ultra 128GB micro SD price has been reduced at amazon.de , from EUR 179 to EUR 126,45

Only thing that worries me is the speed up (read) of 30MB/s of these 128gb SD's whereas the Sandisk Extreme Plus 64GB at EUR 82,60 has a speed up of 80MB/s

Link corrected.

Anything above Class 4 is enough for 16/48 lossless and Class 6 is enough for 24/192 lossless. Class 10 (10MB/s) is more than enough for HD audio, more isn't needed.

so far there are not big problem to us to produce the X5 in next week but it take time to manufacture and devliery so many X5s . I think most people may get their X5 in 30 to 50 days , depend on where they are.

Hey James, do you suspect it will take a lot longer to get if we try to buy it on release day as opposed to preordering from B&H?
