Amazing! This is a testament of a very customer oriented company! Fiio really pays good attention to customers' feedbacks. Thank you very much.

Not many manufacturers give there costumers the kind of one to one contact like does. My sixth Fiio product and not a single complaint. I find the x5 a well built solid player....hardly a brick!!!

The X5 just became an even better DAP since I jumped on the FW2.36b train an hour ago. It loaded my 11K songs pretty quick and for the first time the random play from ''all songs" works fine. This is bad news for my DX90 though

it is better if it does not. id3 tags tend to make the player slower.. i never keep a lot of tags with files.

audioquest dragonfly v1.2, audioengine d3, dongles audio pro wf100, any of these is better than x5 as a DAC? or just different?... only sq matters.

I haven't tried my X5 as a DAC but I did try the X3 as one. The Dragonfly 1.0 sounded way better to my ears. The 1.2 better still. And this Geek Out 450 is the new way I prefer to listen to the computer. I guess I'll have to try the X5 as well. (even though I listen to the X5 through a E12DIY).

Beta is working just fine.  Does what it says it does.  Sound is unchanged (which is a plus as far as I am concerned).  The only thing left that I would like is for them to diddle with the EQ and make the default volume of the Custom setting what the listening volume is set for.  So when I change the sliders, I hear exactly what the changes are doing.  Now, I have to bump the volume up and then change the sliders.

I agree with olddude, 2.36beta sounds the same and works slick. I was very happy to see it index 6201 tracks. (That's how many i currently have on my two cards, much more coming now that the 5800 limit is history.) Thanks Fiio! There are many good reasons why I buy so much of your gear.

  Hello,

I think about buying the X5 + 2x 128gb mucro-sd card to have my music collection always with me. All in all not the cheapest solution.

It is essential for me to have m ycollection accessable in my car too.
Has anyone ever tried to connect the Fiio X5 to Comand Online 4.5 (Mercedes radio)? Comand Online works fine with Ipod Classic. Unfortunately the haddrive is broken (and its getting too small anyway ;) ).

Cheers
Marcus

Does the x5 except 256GB cards? Can I put 2 256GB cards?
