Yes aangen, I got to try a $3,500 DAP with a pair of $700 single dynamic IEM. It sounded amazing. Not $4,200 amazing, but amazing nonetheless

Those old enough to have played LPs, cassettes, and minidiscs, we thought it so great to be able to take an album out with you. Then CDs you didn't even need to remove and change sides. Now we are so spoilt that 5000 tracks isn't enough

Then again, there are people who love speakers, and there are speakers that cost over 100.000$

As mentioned, it is Jeff Goldblum made up to look like J. R. "Bob" Dobbs  who is the figurehead of the Church of the SubGenius.
I am a long time Bob Dobbs fan.

It's € 4200 around here. What's really funny is that a special edition of the AK240 (Blue note) costs € 7500.

If I remember right, the blue note comes with lots of CDs of some music. I am not into that type of music, so I did not paid much attention, but I understood that the special editions of those CDs are actually worth the trouble for big fans of the music. 
 
It is overpriced, no matter how you look at it.
 
Now that Fiio x7 is coming out, it might make a competition for other expensive DAPs. I can't wait to hear one.

Also would like to mention Jeff Goldblum is one of my favorite actors and love the music from Eureka,from SciFi Channel by Mothersbaugh of Devo fame.
