New UI options look def. sick! Loved them all. I hope X5 will also have some nice options like this too(insert question mark here). James I am trying to hold my student budget for X5 but you push too hard to make me buy them both 

 I should finish this master and get a job asap

we will upgrade the UI in 2014 for both x3 and x5. and the good news is that we plan to use the same LTPS displayer which made for blackjerry . now the UI is limited by the LCD

Does this mean, there will be a hardware (display) change in the future, due to current limitation with LCD?

sorry, I means the X5 may used the LTPS (IPS) LCD , it is 400*360 so we can design some high resolution icon.

Wow...now that I've read through this thread and understand the product a bit better, I get what all the excitement is about. I remember when the e17 came out and how impressed I was at the design, build and sound quality. I had several conversations with guys on the e17 thread and we all came to the same consensus. If fiio could develop a product like the e17 incorporating a DAP, it would be a giant killer. 
 
Well, here it is and about to be released here in the US. I'm just glad I didn't find out about this earlier. I'm not sure that I could have contained my excitement for that long. So now my one question is...where is the pre-order?

It's looking really good.  I'll get either an X3 or an X5 (depending upon my level of patience).  I no longer have any interest in the HS Nova.
