Great review! I like the phrase “clarity, mirror-like fidelity, class leading transparency”. Stealing it for my future reviews :dt880smile:

It’s not as warm as Shanling M6 Ultra. It feels uncoloured to me.

I imagine it would be rich and thumpy with wide stage. I don’t think it has the best clarity, but should be nice for certain listeners.
Hey, it's under copyright ©️ 😄

You better get Spirit Torino for your iem-collecting wife!
One is on the way. Hmm, not Torino, something better my wife gifted me for my birthday.
And Valentine's Day for us is all year long, every day

We have a lot to celebrate this year: three months in a raw, birthdays, anniversaries, etc...lots of gifts :)

OK, I'm crossing my fingers that your wife will be happy and satisfied with whatever you choose for a gift.

Cheers!

Cello is often my favorite thing to listen after if something sound good or natural, my wife play cello and I'm used to hear it live.

Now I am a little bit disappointed; I think you meant to say/write:

"My wife is my favourite cello player to listen to, but Two Cellos are not bad either"...

Hmm...

Cheers!

I've done it a couple of times. It takes some patience, a sharp blade or scissors, and some pliers or tweezers, but it's not too difficult.

Did anyone try to safely remove the rubber ear hook from the cable without damaging the rest of the cable?

Cheers!
I have done this. You must have a very sharp blade. (Maybe scalpel or box cutter) Hold knife with the sharp edge away from the cable, dull side touching the cable; Then it will only cut the rubber cover you are removing. Take your time, work slowly, and use extra strong reading glasses, or a magnifying glass if your eyes are getting older!

I only do this if the prebend in that earhook does not match my ear, and cannot be re-set or adjusted to fit.

Sooooo you did not burn them in for at least 50 hours.

Burned them in for 24 hrs. They didn’t improve in the slightest.

Are there headphones for $200-500 that can be called the development of the Artti's R1 tuning with their juicy and lively presentation? Maybe, ISN NEO 5, Penon Quattro?
I love my r1 aswell. Try to get soundrhyme SR8, its bit over 500, but wait for sale or register for coupon.

I honestly think that if you like r1, then you will love sr8. It does everything better. My opinion is that it hits a really good price spot. I think it probably is the closest to 1k set you can get from that price Range.

That is why I said 50 hours. It’s just the start of the burn-in. By 100 hours they are good, but by 200 hours of burn they are great. BAs do not need burn-on, but DDs, and planar drivers do.

I understand your point, and I don't mean any offense by this, but I consider any IEM that requires 200 hours of burn-in before it starts to sound its best to be a total deal-breaker for me.
