Thinked in "just buy the ultracheap stuff and that's it!", but i ended buying also the Kefine Klanar for 36.8 usd in the Hifi-go official store from Aliexpress, among others from other stores:
KZ x Angelears Libra HighRes, KZ Vader HighRes, KZ ZVX Pro, KZ PRX, 7hz HBB Elua and Truthear Gate.

Btw I didn't PTT on the FD15...I've not really looked at it as an option tbf?
Oh dang, I must have misremembered that post being yours then. I stand corrected, then it's even easier for you to PTT on the M1! Ha!

hi guys, can someone help me out. Taking advantage of the 11:11. My daily driver is the UM Mext, but for a long time it was the panda P1 max, but they are destroyed now. I want to update them for a newer planar model.

Any suggestion ?
I'd recommend Sgor Luna if you're fine with a more budget build (still has a metal faceplate) and chonkier shell. I prefer it to PRX, S12 2024, S08, S12 pro, T10, MP145, Dudu, PR1 pro and PR2.

Sgor Luna manages to retain those planar technicalities and resolution, and doesn't sound overdampened, while still getting rid of metallic planar timbre, sibilance and harsh treble. It also has terrific textured bass, no smearing or boominess if that's even a word.

First thing today, noticing that it was selling out, I PTT on the Klean. The thing that swayed it was watching this "AndyAudioVault" video....
Andy is straight to the point & given that he's auditioned a shed load of budget sets...he knows what he's talkin' about.

He states that although they aren't exactly a stage monster, the thing that elevates them to > $100 range, is their ability to organically render the decay of instruments, and thus avoids any clipping of reverb trails etc. For binaural soundscapes/electronica this is a prerequisite, and is what really separates out the "Wheat" from the Chaff-Fi !!

My recent (Trio) quandary regarding PTT on either: 1) Explorer 2) QuietSea 3) Klean..is now thankfully over, & my Delci will finally have an newer "more Kefined" brother!

Try PEQ on H60.....all it takes is a slight +2 to +3 dbs from 20 to 250 Hz to uplift the whole experience to a totally different level ,Any PEQ would do the job either it comes from Mango OS ( i Basso daps) or using Hiby app for music reproduction.......both of those are trusty and HQ (reproduction wise) equalizers...The sub bass on H60 gets to be impactful and agile obtaining a most satisfying ooomph.....
I still need to learn to use the EQ on the R4… there’s tons of complicated settings I’m not used to haha.

This review convinced me… I can get it for $34 on AE (with the RHH9 coupon)
But I WILL wait until my Nautilus gets here. If it sounds rather OK-fantastic, I’m pulling the trigger on the Klean. If it sounds like the best thing I’ve ever heard … I think I’d be foolish to keep trying these cheaper sets. Sure they sound good but could they ever sound as good as midfi ? I am not sure.

I’m really curious how it will sound compared to the Leteciel Mira which I have incoming. I guess that curiosity I have and my love of discovery, comparing and ranking things is a big factor which contributes to my likely-excessive acquisitions. (Case in point: my room is filled on all four sides with board games. Awesome, modern designs that are leaps and bounds better than the classics you find at Goodwill. I had a serious problem. Only this newfound interest in IEMs put a real brake on my game purchases. As you can see by my culling practices, I aim to get a handle on my hobbies instead of letting them drive me lol.)

11.11 update: Looks like the Anvil or P5+2 are on the shelf for a while.

My wife reminded me I had $1,000 worth of unscheduled car repairs last month -- new tires, and a front bumper/running light fix when some hillrod let all sorts of garbage fly out of the back of their pickup on the highway, and I smacked into a plastic lawn chair I couldn't avoid at 65 mph. Plus we went out for a nice dinner at a French restaurant and then danced our asses off seeing a PHENOMENAL Talking Heads tribute band last Friday, which was pricey, too. (By the way: Go see Start Making Sense -- the name of that band -- if they play near you. Closest thing you're going to get to original Heads these days. They're fantastic.)

So, it looks like my budget for this week is around $50 unless I can sell some stuff quickly. Within that range, what's a better bet for me, the Kefine Klean or Tangzu Yu Xuan Ji?

I'm probably selling my Kefine Delci (too much bass), Ziigaat Nuo (fine, but nothing special) and AKG N400NC TWS buds (great unit; I just don't use it very much) this week, which will leave the AFUL MagicOne, AFUL Explorer, Artti T10 and Tripowin Piccolo in my collection (may toss in the Piccolo into the sell bin above).

Between the Klean and Yu Xuan Ji, which compliments my collection best or adds something new or different? Which would go best with my preferred genres of rock, classic rock, alternative rock, alt-country, bluegrass, psychgrass, Americana and atmospheric/moody shoegaze/trip-hop?

Appreciate all pearls of wisdom from you cats. Thanks.
Car repair money is the worst. No fun at all. Everytime I leave the car for service or repair I translate the cost to IEMs.
Last month I paid for a Cantor... And a good cable... 😒

This Springtime I added the Delci, as opposed to going down the CCA Trio route....I stated back then that I'd buy it's second iteration regardless of competition sets...
So things have definitely come round full circle.....and now the slate is: Klean !! :L3000:

First impressions of the LETECIEL MAGIRIS and new brand to me and what a fantastic first impression it is. Penon kindly sent the Magris to me to review. A single DD +1ba jewel of an iem.
The first thing I noticed was the wonderful balanced tuning with nothing pushing its self forward just very coherent musical presentation. The bass is controlled with an equally balanced sub bass and midbass attack with enough quality and quantity to keep most people happy (not bassheads) the mids are flat with lovely vocals for both male and females, instruments are placed in their own space not crowding the vocals. The treble is safe with enough detail to impress but no problematic peaks that could cause siblence or fatigue.
They are super easy to drive and sound great out of the Sony NW-A105 with plenty of headroom, or even a phone. I used my Sony Xperia 1mk iv to drive them plenty loud enough.

If I was going to buy an iem for someone not in the hobby the Leteciel Magris would be perfect with its effortless musical charms.
The shell is resin and tiny, perfect for small ears, the build quality is superb with a high quality colour matching 3.5mm termination cable and a pocketable denim effect carry case.

I will be writing a full review of the Magris but it's already become me perfect everyday carry along with the Sony NW-A105 a bijou audiophile treat for out and about.
The LETECIEL MAGIRIS is available from the Penon website
Priced at $159

This next weekend I will be giving the Voltage its deserved time and tip-, cable-, source-, genre-, cinnamon-roll to death & see just how ecstatically in love I end up being.

But by now, I can, confidently, say this is NOT the all-arounder that renders all my other IEMs obsolete and makes me retire from this circus.

Yep, Andy is swaying me, too. I really like and respect his videos.

I also realize I said yesterday I was done with budget sets. Then I realized I was culling basically all my budget sets except for the Artti T10, which are welded to my collection because they're so good for the money. So, one more budget set won't kill me ... :)

I'm lucky in that I have found a very honest mechanic who also referred me to a very honest body shop here in Syracuse. I've lived here most of my life, so wisdom -- and trial and error -- have led me to a spot where I feel confident I'm not getting ripped off on car repair. Essential when you drive nothing but used cars like me.

I had a 2006 Toyota RAV4 with 165,000 miles on it in 2022, and the rear differential was failing. My mechanic said: "Paul, I'd love to take your money to fix this thing, but that would be stupid of you. Not worth it to fix it. Get rid of it or drive it until it dies." That's the sign of an honest wrench.

This was my only budget for this holiday. The reviews were too good. I will try this with the cables and tips I bought to see if it changes.

This dude is my Rookie of the Year among IEM reviewers on YouTube. His format and presentation are so clean and structured, yet so breezy and natural.

He's concise, too. We're talking about headphones here, not Monet or Renoir paintings or global diplomacy. I cringe any time I see a review longer than 30 minutes. Hell, 25 is even pushing it for me, as I know any review that long or longer is filled with a ton of rambling fat on the bone that EASILY could be trimmed.

Not a lot of BS audiophile terms, great comps by tuning and to other models, etc. I really dig his channel and look forward to any of his individual or group reviews:

Will be looking forward to your impressions mate. I already have 2 DAP's, don't need a third. But something about this JM21 makes me want to buy it, maybe it's my Indian genes which is always looking for a good deal or a bargain 🤣
I'm with you! I have 10 DAPS (I think that's the number?! LOL), and this will make it 11, but the majority are tethered to amps, or they aren't safe to take out and about due to cost, so this will definitely be my EDC, due to size, cost, and power. Hopefully the sound is up to snuff? I've enjoyed my Fiio X3 III for 6 years now, so I'm definitely hopeful.
