There's not even a graph for EM10. Fortunately there are few graphs and reviews for SM4. The lackluster vocals is one of the put offs. But friends of Jay's audio put it at the top of few IEMs they tested in this video


Would EQing help in pushing up the vocals a little bit?

Busy working on multiple reviews now, have the energy again after a long depressive winter in Norway.

First one out that I hope to finish in the next week is for a earbud from Venture Electronics, the VE SMG. Short for Venture Electronics Monk Slim Metal Gold, yup a lot better with SMG. Perhaps my new faovorite earbud, at least sits at top beside some other gems I have.

Having heard the flagships buds from the brand costing 2-4 times more, I'm impressed by how resolving and balanced sounding this one is.
For now its only for sVIP members, but I heard it will be open for the rest later this year.

As a lover of earbuds its absolutely worth the $250($200), specially when you also look at the build quality with the small gold plated metal shell.

Any other earbud enthusiasts here? I believe many would like earbuds if they gave it a try. Some really good gems out there these days.

That SMG looks lovely. Never tried a proper quality earbud. Chalo, will await your review.

I would guess it's a placeholder. HiFiGo often has $999 as a placeholder. Last I looked, that's how it is on the AFUL Explorer.

I think it would have been insteresting to see Shozy make a more balanced B2 revision. Then I think it would become more mainstream but if you add the cost of what Shozy B2 plus a much needed cable upgarde. You can get the NiceHCK Himalaya for around similar price which is on a different level vs the B2 imo.

On one hand I admire Shozy for sticking with their "house sound" if your curious about Shozy. I would say give the Shozy T1 a try for a mere $29.90 as I find it strikingly similar to their Djembe which is a $99 IEM.
These are not close to the authority of the B2 but you wont have to shell out $150 to get an idea of their tuning angle.

I'm finally thinking of setting up my side of the bed (My large table/end table) for desktop amps/dac set up, so I'm re-arranging the whole area, and also tip rolling, and it's amazing how simple tips can resurrect the sound of an IEM. In this case, two. Both bullet shaped single DD. The KZ Ling Long with Coreir brass tips, and the Zero Audio Tenore with ancient Sony hybrids (which i'm sure came with the EX300). Absolutely blazin' fit, and the sound improved with both, so I'm surrounded by great sounding IEMS, many recabled, and the KZ ZS10 pro 2 incoming tomorrow afternoon. Good audio days.

Sony A17 has a cool form factor, tempting to try one out.

You will be pleased. It's an amazing and compact player, does hi res up to 24/192 and the battery life is insanely long.

Haha you are sorted. Jaytiss has Delci and hydro and his rave for hydro was at another level. Only exceeded by his love for Aful explorer.

I guess I shall go with explorer once it becomes available here. Not yet launched, either of em infact.

Btw that kz ZS10 Pro2 rocks. Treble has smoothened out but it's details and extension are damn good. Lovely tight quality bass to go with. That combo of quality bass and crisp treble is hard to beat in the budget world. As opposed to that shoutfest of the og Simgot. Can see why phonophi sings about em.

Another positive impression! I take your impression seriously, so I'm quite excited to see how it stacks against my other KZ/CCA/TRN?
