Maybe KiiBOOM Allure? I have it, it’s got a soft timbre, balanced sound with a bit of bass. Doesn’t do much wrong but also not much wow factor. Decent set for the price range, overall sound quality is there.
Yes, I have the Allure too, and that’s a perfect description. Cheers!

The 7Hz Aurora is a 12 mm DD + 1 x 6 mm microplanar + 2 BA tribrid.

It has a very clean and transparent U-shaped signature, extremely balanced and all-rounded for most music genres.

7Hz_Aurora.jpg

A highlight is the tight, textured and fast bass. Sub-bass extends well. For Sting's Englishman In New York, the Aurora aces the fast double bass solo in the middle of the track. Usually this kind of bass quality is seen (or rather heard) in pricier models, so this is very appreciated.

7Hz Aurora.jpg

Upper mids are forwards without being shouty. There's a 6/7 kHz dip in the treble which is something of a trade-secret used in TOTL tuning to decrease sibilance without overly damping resolution.

Technicalities are also very well-done, with an expansive stage and solid imaging and micro-detailing.

Unlike other very technical sets, the Aurora doesn't sound sterile and maintains a decent note weight. Good mix of technicalities and musicality, so it isn't a one trick pony per se. The keyword to describe the Aurora's signature would be "Grand".

A nitpick from brief OOTB testing would be planar/BA timbre, but this can perhaps be mitigated with eartip-rolling or source pairing.

Quite a promising IEM, will do some burn-in and comparisons against other tribrids and report back.

The Tin HIFI P1 Max II is a V-shaped planar.

P1 Max II.jpg

This set is quite hard to drive, with 98 dB/mW sensitivity at 16 ohm. Sonics will scale with amplification as such.

From brief listening, it sports a lean V-shaped profile. Very technical sounding with an expansive soundstage when amped.

Treble-heads and technical junkies will love it, with good capturing of micro-details with accurate imaging. Without burn-in (OOTB), it is a wee bit sibilant, but I'll see if tip-rolling or burn-in may mitigate this.
You dirty dog............how did you end up with the 7Hz Aurora so fast? Wait don't answer that...........just enjoy it! Cheers! :poodle:😫

UTWS5 v2 and IER-M7 for anything on the move, which means it’s the IEM I use the most (much like cameras, the best IEM is often the one you have with you).

The FiiO kinda sucks honestly but gets the job done.

M7 has top tier mids, good isolation with enough bass to block noises and decent treble. Funny to see the new IEMs shifting to a similar sound signature. Hmm if only something like the M7 but with excellent treble existed…

How many on this board believe Crinacle's Dusk (the new one) is a landmark iem. Value? If not, what are better choices in that price range? I have my own thoughts but am inquiring about yours. I have not listened to the Dusk.
I’ll pay max $20 for a DSP IEM lol.

Clean......................that is my take on the Kiwi ears Singolo. Review will be in-print tomorrow at some point?

DSC_0117.jpegw.jpeg
But as many exclaimed the included ear-tips are no good.

Left to right:
Top row: silicone long wide bores, and the TANGZU Divinus Velvet silicone
Second row: my favorite ear-tips, then the Singolo wide bores...... Look they can't even stand up straight!

Combonation:
HiBy R3 II to ifi GO bar to SIMGOT LC7 to Kiwi ears Singolo

EDC, you've asked?
KZ got your totlly covered!
Practical choice of black (less conspicuous for signicant others and agent Smith-like jobs) and fashionable purple/blue for the extra sparkle in life!

No overtuning and full emotional resonance, as always- exactly what one can rely on KZ!

Returning from the ad's break,
my most portable setup is old Tempotec V1 (V3 is too fancy for me) and DAC-powered Moondrop Droplet:
20240416_063451.jpg

Arguably, one of the lightest and most power-efficient setups :)
Otherwise, any of my IEMs can go with me in their cases, driven primarily by Kuang Pai Plus4, KA17 (and soon to come, hopefully, A&K HC2) DACs (edited: with many other DAC options to explore all the shades and colours of sound).

Briefly, for the recent KZs/CRAs:
Positives for ZS10 pro 2 are that it is offered under KZ name (usually, better more mature tuning) and with a good DD.
To be aware - ZS10 pro 2 is unlikely to follow the deep V tuning of ZS10 pro and ZS10 pro X (and near-failed C10 pro), but likely be along the lines a softer tuning of CCA C10 and Rhapsody, hopefully with a better tighter DD than Rhapsody and same two double-BAs.
KZ never meant it to be uncomplicated!
I can't be the only one, that sees, what I see ?

:poop: :poop: :poop: :poop: :poop: :poop: :poop:
Writing the name in two lines would be nicer :) So I will wait for that, and also for $25-$30, I would expect a hybrid from KZ. (CRA+ has been steepedly priced at first as well, then the price became more reasonable).

I just bring one each day to work, or else I just end up switching and comparing.

- Today I got the birds.
- Tempotec Sonata HD III. Cheap and small, with volume control and a musical, non sibilant sound.
- Penon case. Got room for iem + dongle.
