I have a few all BA IEMs that have good bass, it’s not maybe my favorite? But I enjoy them. One is my QDC V3 Anole, where there is this cohesive quality that just won't stop? I purchased two of them with my own money, due to liking the lows. And even though priced at not really a value, they are special to me?
My expectations for this one are high. Very high.

I got some cable questions in my PM box concerning the GK100 yesterday. The questions enabled me to break the GK100 out again. The cable I ended on was the ISN CS02, it was amazing! Totally smooth, and real sounding. That GK100 has quite the separation and stage! The CS02 adds some analog deepness and realness!NEZHA vs. Geek Wold GK200 6BA+2DD+2PZT 350$![]()

Some more scattered impressions on the Melody before I leave for San Diego (wrong weekend for that eh).
- For sound; this is everything I wanted from the S12. The bass is very punchy and airy, guitars sound very alive, excellent micro details (when bass isn’t front and center) and maybe one of the first IEMs I have heard that wanders between bright and warm zones.
- i did get some fatigue after awhile, but nowhere near as fast as the S12 and I imagine it has to do more with fit.
- on fit… they are kind of strange and they definitely don’t fit my ears well. My bad for having big ears I guess! I found using foam tips helps in a lot of ways, from fit, to thinning out the bass. Moving around the house is a no go for me with these.
- I cannot understate how terrible the included accessories are. The cable remembers every bend, the chin slider is significantly wider than the cables, the regular tips were impossible to get on the gigantic yet stubby nozzle, no case. I get most people have a lot of this stuff lying around but not everyone. For 90 bucks this should be better.
- I found them to be EXTREMELY source/recording dependent. If a song sounds like poop, so will these. I was feeling very underwhelmed on Spotify until I moved to my FLAC library on the v50 and had a complete 180 of opinion.
- Best genres - these may be the new basshead budget pick, EDM and Metal really shine. Classical rock is also very good, I was not impressed with pop or female vocal centric tracks though.
I think these will get overshadowed by everything else in my collection but I may try to bait my partner into the IEM life with them once the MP145 gets here… if you have questions fire away.
If there are any audio shops in that area people are aware of please leave a reply as well!

Not good to hear. Had the GK200 many, many times in my cart without pressing the button.I got some cable questions in my PM box concerning the GK100 yesterday. But now…….we`ll see if they make a good price for them with 11/11 sale.

Thanks for your thoughts on the Melody. You probably just talked me out of buying them lol so really thank you! I recently picked up the Legato and it's fun and bassy so I'll probably keep those as my basshead set. Also I'm a local to SD so welcome and enjoy the weather! Some more scattered impressions on the Melody before I leave for San Diego (wrong weekend for that eh).

They’re used for ultra high end. Like an EST.

Yeah if you have the Legato I really see no reason for this one! Great if you don’t have something similar though. Thanks for your thoughts on the Melody. You probably just talked me out of buying them lol so really thank you! I recently picked up the Legato and it's fun and bassy so I'll probably keep those as my basshead set. I think I'm going to be tracking that GK200 as well, it's a configuration I don't have and it's an attainable price to add to the collection. Especially with some sale-based incentives.

While I mourn the loss of the Tea 2, a budget friend arrives with the Kiwi Ears Melody.
First impressions are really solid, bass is plentiful if not all that clean.
the accessories are actually horrendous though. Throw that extra cable and tips on these folks cause good golly they are bad. Also no case? Compared to something like Truthear who is competing directly in their price ranges, Kiwi Ears really should focus on that side a little bit.
I got mine, too. It's going back. Not much bass, and what there is, isn't very good. And the treble? It extends well, I'll give it that. It extends all the way into my reptilian brain. I've just spent the last two days sticking my toungue out and hissing at perfect strangers because of it.
Yeah, I don't like it...
