Samsung used some cirrus logic and realtek chips. Now it's some unknown shenzen brand.
unfortunately, their middle and up smartphone no longer have 3.5mm jack
my Samsung A53 lost 3.5mm in this generation, the last one A52S still have one.

well, if you could find Samsung M33 its still have microSD and 3.5mm jack, decent low-mid not for gaming chipset.
or you need to hunt for Infinix-branded phone. like Infinix GT10PRo, it still have microSD and 3.5mm decent mid chipset but not sure on what DAC used

The peak exists in your ears as well. Deeper fit = pushing the peak up to upper treble = "smoother" and "more extended" treble (or no treble, if your hearing is not great anymore). I shared some thoughts about this phenomenon when talking about the impact of fit on sound quality of Helios (https://www.head-fi.org/showcase/symphonium-helios.25536/reviews#review-31597).

The U12T with TIA tweeters is another example. When I use a shallower fit with spin-fit CP145 (roughly around the same time when I reviewed the MEST Mk3), I complained quite a bit about the spicy peak somewhere around 8-12kHz that can make cymbals and hats painful. That problem is resolved entirely when I wear the U12T properly (deep fit, ear pieces resting against the concha). It should be noted that the MEST MkIII fits deeper by default to ensure the BCD works properly. Another example I can think of is The Elysian Acoustic Labs Gaea. Deeper fit resolved all of the treble spiciness that I complained about (but it is still spicy in the upper midrange region).

What I learned from experimentation with tips and fits lately is: wear your IEMs properly. Each IEM is designed for a particular wearing depth. How deep? Just remove the ear tips and rest the body of the earpieces against the concha of your ears. That's how deep you should fit. The challenge becomes finding the ear tips that can seal well at that depth, without making your ears itchy or hurting. My experience with most of my IEMs have improved when wearing them the way they are supposed to be worn.
Except when they don't (no peak measured on coupler, no peak in your ears either) on some exceptionally good sets (hint hint) :D

So,
- Their new flagship mid-fi, TRN BAX Pro
- Their new bluetooth adaptor, BT30 Pro
- Their Castor-Zero DualDD contender, MT4 Pro
- Their Fiio FD11 clone? Conch
- and lastly another single LCP DD... Aria contender or Hola Contender? Orca.
BAX Pro = switches and an extra BA driver!

Ey guys, have to share this with you.

Ive purchased some years ago a lifetime ROON subscription, and I mostly listen music outside home. Recently, they launched ARC, another app that allowed to listen music outside home, but my collection is so big so that fries my tablet battery. It needs much more development to being useful.

But after some advice I found on the roon forums, and install a VPN at my server...

I can enjoy the 100% full experience of roon at work.

Btw, the IVIPQ V12 still being on my ears, maybe its not the bassiest of my collection, but its an authentic master pick.

Yes, I confirm that ARC is expensive in terms of battery.

Disabling audio processing in MUSE helps a little, and in general also making sure (as far as possible) to get the stream that requires the least audio conversions to be performed on the smartphone.

In order to use the native ROON client, I use a virtual networking system called ZEROTIER, which (appropriately configured) allows a transparent bridging connection; essentially you get to have the smartphone as if it were connected to the home wi-fi.

Hey y'all.
I have finally returned from my MUCH NEEDED family vacation.
While away, I found myself listening most often to the Penon 10th AE and Turbo, the Shozy B2 and the GLAMDRING.
I do think I should've also brought the EPZ 530. I absolutely LOVE that IEM.
I definitely got some quality sessions in at the river using the Hiby R6 Pro II.
Anyways, anything ground breaking that I missed in the last week and a half?
I see the buzz getting started about the Chopin, Timeless 2 and the NOVA.
Is there a consensus on the Kiwi Ears planar (Melody?) that just [or soon to be?] launched?
What else is catching your eye for 11.11?
As always, I appreciate your feedback and suggestions.
Cheers!
This looks like the perfect spot to catch some rest with some of your in-ear favourites.
Yeah, you've missed quite a lot, but based on your current collection maybe nothing too groundbreaking.

BQEYZ Wind graph via IEC711 coupler. 8 kHz is a coupler peak.

10 mm LCP DD + bone conduction driver.

Yeah, ZEROTIER (I dont want to advertise any service😅) here as well. Need client on the server and on the device.

Works like a charm, only need a nice connection on both sides

But my problem was for the library size, it seems ARC ask for all covers and info continuosly.

Conch basically is FD11 body and EA500 tuning nozzles

TRN should just be called King of clones master of none. The TA3 was pretty good tho.
