I recall that’s the one on @Asakurai ‘s wishlist.

Yongse Sword if I recall it correctly.

I’m also interested.

Wait, actually maybe not Yongse Sowrd.

If my Chinese reading skill is not rusted, It appears to be 2Piezo + 8Knowles +1bio diaphragm DD for $308 + various fees
I just received this, I requested a different color cos the default scheme reminds me too much of thieaudio. They managed to customize to 0.78 and even send out on the same day of order. However the workmanship is also rushed, the 0.78 slots are too shallow for pins to be fully inserted. Initial impression, tuning is safe but staging is narrower than expected will feedback later with more listening time.

Wow!! How’s the sound?

Audio Lokahi initial impression

▶︎Personally imported from taobao $139 cost + $47 DHL + agent fee $17 = $202. Purchasing agent is Superbuy. You can choose cheaper shipping options, I didn’t know “fastest shipping“ means DHL express😭

▶︎Available on Linsoul for $239, if you want a worry-free procurement experience
👍

Face plate: Simply beautiful. I see a galaxy 🌌 there.

▶︎Knowles 7BA (config unknown, from my ear it sounds like 2 Bass + 2 Mid + 2 High + 1 UHF), 3 sound guide tubes.

Initial Impression:
Timbre is a bit spicy hot, it’s for treble head, and treble sensitive group may feel too bright, for me I actually like it.

No pressure build up, thanks to the huge vent on face plate, it feels very open.

Note Impressions : Sound Tasting
Top Note: Sense of open space to side ways filled with sparkles
Middle Note: Basshead borderline meaty /powerful bass
Bottom Note: Rich and highly dense mid

Tuning : Neutral-ish with noticeable sibilance dip, 3khz ear gain dip, powered by meaty bass

For Full BA, U12t is closest I could find, for Hybrid Aroma Jewel.

Diffusion Field size : wide in side ways, not too much of front / back

Imaging projection type: In your head for mid range, diffusing treble

Resolution: A-class high

Air/Finesse: ✨👍 but some may feel “BA timbre🥵” due to artifactual “fake air” generated around 15khz. YMMV.

Lokahi comes with Sony hybrid style (feels exactly same) ear tip which tames treble, so I think the timbre is tuned based on Sony-hybrid.

Overall OOTB:

Wow, pretty good!

Not S-class (Neon Pro / SR8 ) as a full BA, but it Lokahi can fly with many A-class IEMs if you are looking for an IEM that has tremendous amount of “air” and tuned with neutral with bass boost philosophy. It tells what is called “treble extensions /finesse “ if you have no former exposure with it.

I found Lokahi generate excellent timbre when paired with SpinFit W1 (it opens up sound stage to front / back, much more natural expressions) , this time my all time favorite H570 didn’t generate synergy that much.

If you use Superbuy 139+17+ cheap and slow shipping around $10-20 to come with $160-170 for 7BA with this performance? Highly recommended!

I think even $239 full price is worth it for a proper A tier with this much of treble articulating capabilities as well as rich mid and powerful bass.

I don’t know why but this tonality impression reminds me of BMW M3 as opposed to Porsche 911 for DUNU SA6. Maybe because Lokahi on certain “tracks” may outrun SA6.
Added some teasing photos of Lokahi😊

That's interesting!
I'm currently on the fence about buying a 7hz Legato, as I'm looking for something that is bassy with a good analogue feel.
Have you had the chance to compare the SIE and the Legato ?
I get that the Legato might be a bith more niche, regarding its tuning, so if the SIE has good bass and a good analogue feel, it might be a better option for me, if the tuning is a bit more versatile.

Sound Rhyme SR1 might be an interesting affordable option for bass. Akros did an interesting comparison with Penon Fan and ISN D10.

Going to maintain abstinence and discipline

So help me God
I am also confused now. I can get a deal on U12T, but idk I never get hooked to multi-BA setups for long time :frowning2:

Bro, the only way is to delete your Headfi account and stop coming here haha.

Coming back here is like someone who is supposed to be on a strict dieting plan, but he keeps coming to "look" at a 10-course buffet table to see the delights.

So in regards to the See Audio Rinko driver speculation, I was approached by HiFiGo that
“it’s a new patented planar, try it yourself, we are happy and open for a third party audit“
So I kindly accepted that third party appraisal offer.

As I’m not taking any side and know planar sound very well, that’ll work✌️

Nice look forward to your review.

BTW this is the graph for the Rinko:
Rinko.png

Looks quite old school V-shaped, with some 12/13 dB pinna gain in the upper mids (might be shouty, though this can perhaps be balanced out by the bigger bass shelf).

Rinko is brilliant with PS5 man. I was using it daily, it produces a theatrical experience.

With U12T, you get 3 IEMs in one package (APEX module). I'm kinda bored with the default M15, so I swapped to M10 and have a brand new experience.

But yeah, no matter how nice the bass of U12T is, it is BA bass that is crisp and precise. Exaggerated bass of a good DD is desirable sometimes.

I also have Kinera Nanna 2.1, i love its sound. But currently it's gone out for a review tour. WIsh to get it back soon.

Well I‘m enjoying Encounter pretty much which isn’t too far from Rinko, so maybe?
