An odd ball discovery.
Sound Rhyme SR5
▶︎Personal Purchase from $139 from this store. You can choose if you want IEM only or pay more for cable, of which many of audipphiles are not in need for another cable, so the $139 one is sufficient enough. Smart offer and very logical.

TLDR; “Hit!”, Highly Recommendable as extremely high cost performing warm-neutral with U-hint. Has extremely wide range from sub-sub-bass to TOTL styled finesse articulation for 10khz, 15khz, and 17khz detail highlight, the reverb generation.
Usually vocalist-IEM doesn’t have diffusion field but this SR5 does have both, vocal richness as well as wide diffusions.

Sound Impressions to follow. It’s amazing.
A hidden Gem coming out of nowhere because Sound Rhyme only sent review sample to Russian youtube reviewers.

It is widely unknown to Western market, but it somehow intrigued my interest after seeing the russian reviewer’s video. He also reviewed HEXA and metaphored HEXA as Bruce-lee, of which It made a great sense. He also praised SR5, so I knew someone knows HEXA wouldn’t recommend some utterly wrong IEMs.

▶︎A warm-neutral with U-hint. Specialized for Vocals.
Reminds me of
DUNU SA6 on bass on mode + AFUL Performer 5 + See Audio Bravery. Or Simply put, it’s Baby-Aur Audio Neon Pro. Qdc styled neutral with U-tuning.

It has very nice finesse, Bravery style air generation. It has two emphasis above 10khz, 15khz for air presentation and cymbals liveliness, 17khz for diffusion field’s border articulation. Very rare to see this level of “air” for sub$150. Closest I can refer is See Audio Bravery, then that goes to Aur Audio Neon Pro, Anole VX & Monarch.

AFUL Performer 5 class well tuned, instrument-neutral (that means not a upper mid vocal forward), but it has some colorations in upper registers to try not make sound too dull.

▶︎Very rich overtone presentation, this works great for wooden instruments as well as ”wet” touch of Jazz vocals.

▶︎One thing I found very unique aside from above of SR5: Bass DD is very very fast responding, one thing I like the most of this IEM. It doesn’t have “hybrid” syndrome cause by slow dynamic woofer. HEXA and many other IEM dealt with that by applying LCP driver, but this SR5 did it by non-LCP🤯 It reminds me of See Audio’s Yume OG DD, that sounds like BA with very low bass floor. SR5 may have applied similar Driver of Yume and retuned it with sub-bass lift. It has sub-sub-bass, below audible zone.
As SR5 is something extraordinary, I made Sound Rhyme impression thread, it deserves a own thread👍

Well past 14khz yes that’s the limit of single BA, not EST or TOTL styled extensions you may expect, it’s very satisfying though. Worth a try just for the tuning and timbre👍
Most of us can't differentiate past 15khz anyway. For my age 15khz boost (perceived as soft air extension) is barely heard, so usually i dont care 15khz above.

unashamedly a Sony DAP fanboy. There's more I still have that are older, like my NWZ545, but none of those are actually functional. They died, and replacements are now too spendy for my liking. This is the lineup of fully functional players, left to right : Sony Walkman NWZ-E475, A17, A45, A55, and A306.

So...you're saying you've never heard good IEMs?
Good or bad is purely individual’s take man.
I never drove a Lamborghini too. But I own best of AMG and I’m pretty satisfied because I can beat Lamborghini in street race with my AMG.

Same thing to IEM, each one has their own value of perspective as well as threshold of spending on a thing. I’m ok to spend on a good pair of racing tire or a cruise trip with my family for $4.5k, but not on an IEM😥

Also, if you're rich, then by all means, spend it! But if you racked up a high credit card bill, then it's all perspective. Now if you run a review site and you get these for free as samples or on loaner from the distributor, then that's another thing all together. I'm not connected like that, with a family to feed, so $4.500 for an IEM, is exactly as you stated, not on my financial budget radar. But the Tri Star River is!!! Bring it!!

Bro have you tried the Sony NW-WM1AM2 and NW-WM1ZM2 per chance?

Damn, the WM1ZM2 was the best DAP I have ever tried, holographic soundstage, warm buttery smooth yet detailed sound. Unfortunately, the $3.7K USD price was just too much to stomach, even selling both my kidneys wouldn't have been enough, have 2 rug-rats to feed at home too.

But sadly, the ears can't unhear that WM1ZM2 sound, and now every time I listen to my lower tiered DAPs, the itch isn't scratched LOL.

So I dug this thing out of the graveyard box looking for a microSD card, and lo and behold...IT'S ALIVE!!! Not for long, since the charge is extremely low and I don't have any idea where to find the charger, but I forgot just how good a Rockbox'd Sansa Fuse sounds!! Is Rockbox even still around?! I'm impressed, but I went looking online for a new one, and they are like the old Sony players, way overpriced for a old used unit. PASS! I'll maybe look for the charger and use this one from time to time? The soundstage is the impressive thing here. Wide! With excellent detail retrieval and bass punch.

Nope. Those ultra-high end Sony DAPS are too out of reach for me, unless the wife or I hit the lotto! LOL Until then, I'll keep adding the newest Mr WAlkman mod and pretend LOL ;)

It’s great when you can rationalize why not to spend crazy money, like I’ll look at a graph and be like phew, I can pass on this lol

No, I meant why get full-size headphones when I've listened to some of the best and they've let me down. I've heard IEMs that compete with or beat full-size was the point I was making. Why save money for a full-size when there are some fantastic IEMs and they're far more portable? I didn't even like the Utopia that much, very boring tuning. You can get whatever you want, and there's a ton of stuff that is cheaper that sounds really good, like the Final A5000 I'm reviewing now for Audio46, but if you want the best listening experience, they cost more. The Triallii is $6,600 - seems crazy right? And yet, they had such high demand that they had to raise the price. I can say with all certainty that the MM is one of the best sonic experiences I've ever had, it's up to the listener to decide what price they want to pay for that. But no, saving up for a full-size isn't something I need to do (also, full-size are super boring looking, no one makes a really cool looking full size besides Rosson and ZMF - and they're not very portable.)

Come to think about it, you're right about the portability of the top tier cans. You need some bulky heavy gear to make them sound best, and you're right, my two main cans I rarely use because of comfort and I think even some of my IEM's compete with my Amirons, so I can see what you're saying. I just can't afford those mega-priced IEMs.
