It was confirmed in Moondrop Discord.

So everyone in China is either making or designing everyone else's IEMs, and the collaborations are just the ones we know about! I guess the whole of China is one giant OEM. This reminds me of the stoning scene from Life of Brian, "Are there any women here?" Lots of IEMs wearing false beards!

Per HBB, See Audio is releasing 1/1DD+Planar IEM called Rinko. A typo of 1DD + 1 Planar or 1BA +1DD+1Planar? Sample package shows two waifus, so maybe a DD+Planar indication.

Oh….that’s interesting depending on Price asking. See Audio generally offers with very high asking price $200+.

I misread that as "Pinko" and thought it would make an ideal gift for bigots. Perhaps the Wan'er? Or an old KZ would be even better, something nasty and cheap, where the top just shreiks and only appeals to the bass!

The majority are from ShengZhen and maybe in one big factory, each brand is separated by a 5-foot walkway in the production line. :L3000:

And here comes Tanchijim, the Moondrop‘s fat cousin! (with Jeremy Clarkson’s voice)
More like an ignored sibling :dt880smile: I always feel they are so similar. Tanchjim sticks to their mascot more than Moondrop (the whole “tuned by AsanaTanchiim” or something like that. For the longest time, I thought they were talking about a real person). In fact, Moondrop and Tanchjim did collaborate (with Shanling) to make a special edition of M3x.

Speaking of Shanling… the natives are growing restless waiting for the new mtouch flagship, the M1s, to debut.

Still? Shanling surely takes their sweet time  I heard that that little device sounds the same as M3 Ultra. Maybe enough to bring out the bests of most IEMs nowadays.

Well, I do prefer that they take their time to fine-tune and produce a complete product, rather than a rushed botch job just to meet timelines?

We have seen so many half baked releases, where companies rushed to meet demand and earn $$. In the end, they needed to release firmware updates or fix QC problems with initial batches. Some even had to recall the product cough cough Moondrop (A)Void. The Topping L30 needed to be recalled due to failure of ESD, and they probably spent more money sending new units to customers and repairing their reputation than what the early release brought in!

And then you have the other extreme (cough cough KZ) where stuff comes out on an almost weekly basis, and people get numb and apathetic.

First world problems indeed!!

I'm actually looking for an ety er2se that can stay on the ear :ear: or the iem version of beyer t70. (as small as possible and with dynamic drivers.)
Tanchjim Zero is exactly that and is inexpensive. Original Moondrop Quarks is also an option. FloAudio Lily or KBEAR Neon are neutral, but its BA territory. Chi-fi is very limited, niche treated for that neutral, flat bass tuning...

A little more bass elevation then the options multiply. 7hz ZERO, HOLA, etc..
