Yea I will be trying MT4.

At least not too far from Truthear ZERO, with noticeable dip

By the way, I just noticed squiglink has a function called insights.
https://squig.link/insights/

Very interesting statistics of what’s driving internet search queries that landed to squiglink! Hmmm Moondrop is massive. KZ still has popularity. And Truthear is taking market shares in recent time periods. Fun market share stats! Moondrop Stardust…Stellaris was so expected😭

Last CQ4 10/1/2022-12/31/2022 Quarterly Power House (KZ lost to rank #6😅 )50074D0B-C90C-4665-A032-331FADE5C101.jpeg16DB6877-DADF-470B-9FA6-1CE5D23F7116.jpegCD533EFC-C6CD-4769-ADC4-89FC288DECBF.jpeg

I think it can be inferred that a lot of the IEMs ranking high in these lists feature a waifu LOL.

Graphs, collabs and driver type/brand/count be damned. Waifu = higher chance of sales hahaha.

As an aside, can you imagine how much dough KZ will be swimming in by launching weekly KZ pokemons with a waifu? Even if the BAs are not soldered or not contributing to the sound, no worries, a waifu will cover all these transgressions.

People wanting to buy FH3??? What year is this? (And what’s wrong with people :dt880smile: )
I have talked to quite a lot of local headphone enthusiastic, and they prefer fiio over moondrop. I mean most of asian likely to engage the price range of aria or fh3 than blessing 2 or sa6 level of price, also, for new enthusiastic, they likely to choose a V shape with good rumble/bass head level kind of bass with sparkly metallic-ally treble iem since they literally bought an iem with all of their life saving (basically), also some dude repairing ipod who also popularizing and recommend fiio aswell. Good marketing tho
Edit: also the reason why i said they bought iem with all of their life saving is that.. If they're rich there are only 2 options, blessing 2 dusk or hd600. nah let's make it 3, hd560

Nothing against bassy signature. I just have problem with FH3 itself :dt880smile: You can check out my previous review for more details. If I were to advise, I would say just go for JD7 if you want to save some money, or go for Aful P5 is you can extend the budget a bit. Those are “enough”, whilst the honky and textureless FH3 would make you want more and end up paying more.

KZ should adopt Anime Marketing at somepoint, but it seems they are very stubborn for that.

Letting aside Anime marketing, I feel KZ does better, especially for recent series.

I can underwrite this because I literally listened to most of their series, except very few exception (Like Planar ones, enough Planars for me. )

I do see cost initiatives for recent ZEX (MST+DD), ZAS(7BA+1DD), ZNA(1BA+12mm DD), ESX (12mm LCP), and looking forward to GK10 like fun gadget MST+LCP or MST+SPD+LCP.

They know how to implement budget BA, MST, and started to exercise tuning excellency as well.

That BA set to negative phase is another way to offset Bellsing BA peaks without acoustic dampers. I don’t think KZ was successful in that negative phase cancellation, their attempt were observed for ASX>AST, ZEX>ZEX Pro. The challenge came with result, AST hit the dead end, ZEX Pro found new passage through ZES.

KZ seemed gave up with negative phasing by now and slowed down the new product release for established line ups. The Planar one may face some new Pro/X/2.0 style Open-Beta sadly😞

Where did you read about the negative phase (polarity I think, the phase is usually rotated by the capacitor by 45 degrees) being used in cancelling the peaks by KZ? Or any measurements/experiments showing the feasiblity of using reverse polarity to cancel out peaks of different types of BAs in an IEM by any other companies?

Rather interesting as is this TRN being cheap and avoid buying proper crossover or an intended sound sig?
The trend is that tuck-in bass that created by a sub-woofer DD and mid+treble DD separation. TRN seems to just blast trough it.

---
in sub $20 territory

I love the question
or an intended sound sig?
"We have a bucket load of 5K peaks lying around here. Might as well throw one in!"
