Anyways, yes burn in is a very controversial topic (similar to cables) on audio forums, but I'd gladly respect both camps (burn in believers and detractors). Whatever works for you and makes music more enjoyable!
How about make it more complicated : 200hrs burned in cables make difference more than new cables

A brand new pack of AZLA SednaEarfit XELASTEC L landed in my mailbox. They arrived before the Softears UC tips, though the UC were shipped first. All my old Xelastecs were warped, deformed, and grody. They work with excellent synergy with the Tansio Mirai Sands. So siiiiiiick sounding! Thickens the soup while taming the highs, and they just sound fabulous. Looking forward to trying the Softears UC's and I just ordered some Spinfits CP800 L. Gonna try those out as well.
If you have ever been into high end speakers burn in of cables is very often mentioned, not to mention the prices of some of them. Never touched anything high end in cables when I was more into speakers. Used all the cash for the speakers and amp.
Remember I was at a Demo at a good store in Oslo, heard some really good speakers priced around 9000-15000$. The seller were extremely persistent to get the right sound out from them you needed also a pair of speaker cables around 5000$. While needing maybe upwards to 1000hours usage for the sound to settle. For me this is a sale pitch to sell more and get outside the return window.
And many bought it that day due to the 20% off during the demo discount price. But who am I to say its wrong, people need to buy what makes them happy.

And....palladium, silver, copper and gold each requires different burn-in time. How about make it more complicated : 200hrs burned in cables make difference more than new cables
Don't forget ambient humidity, temperature and latitude!

Of course all of this is pointless if you don't burn Yttrium/Camphor joss sticks to give the correct aromatherapy effect. Things have to smell right too!Don't forget ambient humidity, temperature and latitude!
Man I myself believe in cable rolling and actually do a lot of cable rolling. But there is a limit I have set for everything for myself. Like for an IEM I would go as high as 2000-2500$ max. The reason behind this is that if I go above that I would go for headphones. As for cables, I would spend 800-1200$ at max if I really find the cable good. But never more than that. I have tried the likes of PW Audio First Time, yes the cable sounds fantastic, but will I ever spend 3000-3500$ for a cable? NO and that won't allow me to buy it even if i have the money. But that's just my personal opinion and choice. I don't diss others or make fun of them who buy them. It's everyone's choice and decision how much they are willing to pay and get satisfied hehe.If you have ever been into high end speakers burn in of cables is very often mentioned, not to mention the prices of some of them. hmmm...i better put it back in the sintering oven...And....palladium, silver, copper and gold each requires different burn-in time.

Surprised nobody mentioned unobtainium cables so far.
BTW I used to be skeptical of burn-in as well, until I noticed the difference it made to the Sea-elf.

No surprise at all, Penon or Linsoul: sooner or later they (reviewers of free samples) all "surrender to dark forces". Such is the nature of the reviewer business and survival (or natural selection there) nothing personal.

And....palladium, silver, copper and gold each requires different burn-in time.
that's why I recommend mithril and adamanthium
Cables are overrated, just buy instruments and play everything yourself.

So Continuing my Hola..
2 Stages of burn in with 24 hours already passed, while I hear some improvement on edges and tightening the bass, but bass still have those smears on edges, and I suspect that caused by air blocking case because of the nylon / paper damper.
I didn't wait until my burn in complete, I took out the grill and as suspected....

the adhesive was too sticky, harder to take out than other chifi, and voila there you are a white nylon filter, and when I took out, wow this one is a thick nylon filter, the culprit of bad airflow that leads to trapped bass, thus sounded smear on edges because of bad airflow, reducing much quality, and of course sounded overdampened on high frequencies..
immediately remeasure them filterless ( I did take measurement on default Hola) and HOLA crap!!!!
Crazy RAW FR!! they boosted certain frequencies and then heavy dampening them until very smooth. Not particularly wrong method IMHO, but just bad dampening method. Sony Z1R also have similar trick, boosting the 4khz and 6khz area and dampening back, but with proper dampers, medium density foam (foam have better effect with bass, the nylon paper blocks airflow and made bass bloated)
No, I won't put that filterless hola in my ear just to test the raw bass with risking my eardrum with that +17db 2.3khz peak but I'm sure bass will be much much much better.
I will put foam to tame treble frequencies peaks, and cut filter probably mesh 500 or double them but with hole for the airflow. Will get back later after my experiments.
