@audioaura - The Deuce and the Defiant would not be on the same planet at all. They are tuned to appease completely different audiences, and the only thing in common are they are both IEMs. This would be like wanting to have a comparo between the KZ ZA12 and the FF Grand Maestro. One is a relatively balanced, nu-meta, all-arounder, and the other is an unabashed bass head IEM released with bass heads in mind.

Love the excitement, Defiant definitely seems to bring its own flavor; sounds like a fun listen for sure 🔥 I’ve been enjoying the Deuce myself, and would love to hear how you think they stack up once burn-in’s done!
Wasnt see that coming that's for sure.....

😵😵😵😵😵😵...

Wasn't expect that much form a 99$ set... No Sir.. Wasnt.... Swear to God... But this Chi Fi nowadays.... In full bloom here at Defiant's case.... I think now that JUZEAR Defiant is what professional engineers are able to achieve with a minimalism cost /amount of money and tones of experience along.... It's the typical V sound signature BUT with a textured fully articulated bass response... Me at least never heard before such a full bodied qua3 bass at this price range... 100 %...
If I had to comment/report one downside over the Defiants from The little I heard today that would be the overall note weight/timbre (midrange /treble) which is clearly on the lighter/brighter side of the spectrum.... That's partially due to the tuning choise and overal decisions made there... But that's doesn't restrain Defiant from being spacious and utterly lush over the mids... One the other I am personally familiar / accustomed to warmer /darker profiles signatures /tonaliities and this is also a personal preference of mine probably nitpicking....
For 99 $ ????? 🤔🤔🤔
😁😁😁

This is ridiculous sound quality that's what I think bro.... 😵😵😵.. This actually doesn't happen in every day life circumstances you know......
Regarding Deuces now.. having tried several PEQ alternatives / adjustments wasnt able to find what I was looking for ensed up quiting the fight there... Deuces is a really hard to drive set... needs tones of power to shine for good.. and I have personally some doubts shortcomings as far as the tuning there..... What will be really interesting for me at least will be Defiant vs Punch Audio Martilo a DD/BA/PLANAR tribrid set ready to be launched from Linsoul during the next days.... And a basshead orientated one as it is currently promoted and adveetises widely...Now this is going to be a real head to head BATTLE... this one vs Defiant......

Received today used pair of Oriolus Szalayi and ohhh my !!! I feel like I unlocked new level in this hobby;

they scale like crazy, perfection in reproduction and whole bass/subbass/midbass does wonders

I can pump whatever power I want and they perform without distortions

right now paired with Fifty Strings M.hawk and Eletech Baroque - soon I will try pairing with different cables

there is a lot of energy but I like this tuning

Archangel is 'burning' for next few days so I will compare later but Oriolus was definitely great purchase
Getting one in July. I can't wait.

You know when an IEM is really special? When you've got work early next day but you can't put it down or stop listening to it.

It's incredible what the Juzear is bringing to the table for just £100. Bass that slams hard, forward vocals with very good clarity, well extended, crisp and an airy treble. To me these sound like a mild W shape tuning the more I'm listening to them.

It's musical yet detailed not the most resolving but more than what you can expect at this price point. Soundstage is wide and holographic, imaging and layering performance is great too. So the Defiant is no slouch in the technicalities department. I believe this is the new gate keeper at the £100 price range.

Loving the Apostle especially with eletech baroques on them. So warm and thicc but still amazingly detailed. Just the right amount of jingle from cymbals.

Anyone know of any baby apostle or even CFA Clara tuned IEMs under $500? I love both of these but really don’t like taking them to the gym.

Have the Dunu Vulkan 2 and Punch Martilo coming in soon and will have impressions on those.
Only thing I can remotely rec as a baby Apostle, and this is more like recommending the Apostle as a baby Anni, but the Elysian Pilgrim Noir is Apostle adjacent. That might be your gym "in"??

Yeah it definitely is. I have a set however I think they’ve been discontinued (Elysian no longer shows it as a current model and they’re out of stock everywhere). Might just keep using it as such for the time being.

OK, fellas, I'm contemplating my first new purchase since the tariffs and need your help as an American consumer.

Question: When I order from Amazon or Penon's website (yep, I'm zeroing in on the H60), is the price that's shown my final price, plus sales tax? Or are additional taxes/shipping costs added to that subtotal with sales tax to compensate for the tariff tax?

In summary: Will $349.99 at Amazon and Penon be $349 plus 8 percent sales tax and a nominal shipping fee at checkout, or will I see some subtotal close to $500?

Evenings like this >>>

I later found out I prefer the Peng directly from the DX180. Richer lows and more shimmery highs. But I refuse to debate anyone about whether IEMs or HPs are more comfy and better isolating, IEMs come out on top in a landslide victory.

I haven't bought from Penon directly in a while but I heard they were covering at least some of the tariff price. Amazon is safe... AE is even fairly good now. They might adda few bucks on as a "fee", but generally, it's not like it was at first. I think it depends on the store though. Some try charging crazy shipping prices so watch out. Penon even has some sets for sale on Amazon as well [although I doubt with Prime shipping.]

I have purchased from Penon at Aliexpress and have not had to pay more or had shipping fees. And while not as much discount as I am used to, got reasonable prices for what I purchased. (Armor and SR5 purchased)
