I've only ever tried closed backs as they are what fit my personal needs better however compared to the e3, which is known for having thinnish lower mids and a forward midrange, it has a less forward upper midrange without going too far. It wasn't bothersome to me as it trades that for greater dynamic swings of loudness. Here's how the e3 compares to the stealth: https://vsg.squig.link/headphones/?share=Dan_Clark_Audio_E3,HIFIMAN_HE1000_Stealth and https://boizoff.squig.link/headphones/?share=HE1000_stealth_(stock_pads),E3
Thanks
So if i can read the graph correctly, the HEK has bit more base and more air? It presents, like more open sound? In comparison to the E3. Where sits the Aune?
When i hear dark, i think about sound that is a bit less open, kind of squeezed. Is this how You understand the dark sound signature?
If the Aune has similar sound signature as the HEK, it would be interesting. For sure for this price.

Alright,

I know some of you got some interest in the new YongSe SunWukong but there's not much around about it. So I hope this shine a bit of light on some of the questions.

Comparing between IEM’s is a little difficult so early. But if I had a guess right now I’d say… If the H60 , the TSMR SHOCK and EBC80 had a Threesome. The result would be a
hot sticky mess? Which reminds me of Sinners, damn good movie. Same hot and sticky vibe as From Dusk till Dawn, but a bit more serious.

How's the BCD implementation? Massive stage like Shock, or leans more like EBC80?

Any hint of sibilance?

Could you please try 4.2 bass, 3.9 treble on Shock and compare with your favorite Archangel setting once it's done cooking.

Not sure why I'm asking all these questions, I said no more iem purchases until 🥭 mussolini and his band of incompetent lying nitwits are all gone...👿😡

Initial impression on KBear KB02 while taking an over two-hour brisk walking.

It's been a long time since I reviewed a unit from KBear and what we have here is a latest hybrid driver entry-level set, KB02. This model has two types of driver tech inside, a single dynamic driver and a contact-type bone conduction driver that were encapsulated in a UIEM-style shell chassis resin-like material. The shells are quite nifty and offer a comfortable fitting.

The contact-type bone conduction driver will somehow add some sense of depth and texture on its overall sound as it affects the resounding effect on the sub bass, a bit emphasis on the vibratos of selected vocal types and reverb note tails on percussives and strings. The sound signature of this one is quite familiar as it reminds me of the BLON BL03 that has some refinements on it like less bass smearing and a similar overall smoothness of its overall sound.

Going to 17k of steps for now.

I received the new FAAEAL Tulip yesterday and was quite impressed with the case and accessories so I thought I'd share a few pictures real quick. All of the accessories are included inside the case, which makes unboxing very simple. The case actually has a built in tip holder, which I haven't seen before, and the IEM holder can be removed for more storage space. The stock cable is one of the nicest I've seen under $200. Overall the accessories are really impressive for the $80 price tag. I haven't spent much time listening to them yet, so I will wait to make my impressions after burn in. The Tulip has a V-shaped tuning that I like so far, but I'll run it through its paces in due time.

Rediscovery:

Another product just arrived a few hours ago is a set that its already 2 year old but it was an exclusively available in few online audio distributors.

This is BQEYZ Winter Ultra, a variant of their last Season Series model which is exclusively available to Angelears Stors in Aliexpress. Like the original, it has a hybrid driver set-up consisting of single dynamic driver and piezo-electric bone conduction driver. What will be its tonal difference between this one and the original one?

In terms of overall impressions of the upper midrange, it's not as forward/intense as the e3 however it's not super recessed if you think that's what I mean by the SR7000 being a bit darker and it makes up for that with having much more upper treble than the e3. Graphs wont help with this. E 3 is very diferent to he 1000se. E3 is soft, polite version on audeze lcdx it is like flatered lcd x with small amount of bass. Personaly for this type sound dont see space for me dont have place. He 1000 se is alternative to hd 800,800s. Touch better universaly tuned great headphone to me very good.

Well put. The treble is certainly not T5S' highlight. But it performs its side role admirably and never really feels too dark to my ears.

No H60 yet due to unexpected circumstances. Should be here soon-ish, though. I'm curious too!

If you enjoy PM but feel you could handle just a tad more of everything, this is it.

Defiant's graph that @roflokek just posted below is intriguing too, despite my serious discontent with its looks (at least the multicoloured faceplate one). Volare is a stunner in real life.

Sooo you're trying to say that two different products actually start their lives in the same factory and may be 97% the same thing?? Naaah, surely not, Chifi would NEVER do that to us. 😛

Would you look at that. But I'm willing to bet they sound nowhere near as similar in reality, all things considered.
They dont sound like each other your correct , quality of drivers is a big difference.

So the Aune is bit louder, but is not reaching the points , where the HEK is. When its about the frequencys.
Correct?

Correct?
The amplitude of 1-4k region on the aune doesn't reach as high (sound as intense) as the heks but is balanced in that region, having more amplitude from 1-2.5k, to have enough intensity to sound realistic.

Thanks.
I was thinking about it, but would have to order, and return in case it would not fit my taste. I do not like to send things back. Will keep them on the back up list. They look good, apparently sound as good and do not cost as much.

Cheers
