I bought one when they were at $37 for like new off their ebay store with $20 shipping to Canada. Still about $70 cheaper than buying retail here.

FWIW, I got mine "like-new" direct from their website the last time blinq.com had these in stock, and it really was in perfect condition.

Mine had a small scratch on the underside of the hinge, but it's really nothing to complain about.

What do you guys think of the Sonys?  I listened to them at Staples and found them to sound good, but the cups were too shallow.  How do they compare to the Uptowns?

I haven't heard the Uptowns but I wouldn't buy the Sony ZX701iP again regardless of the price. They have a big dip in the upper mids that makes vocals sound weird and ruins the tonality. On the box it says that they have studio quality sound which I believed, coming from Sony. These are nowhere near studio quality headphones. I was pretty disappointed but then again, I've been disappointed in a whole lot of <= $100 headphones in regards to sound quality. The Beyer DT 235 is easily the best sounding headphone under $100 that I've ever listened to and it can be had regularly for around $40. The ZX701iP isolates better and is more comfortable though.
