Yes. Rule of thumb I've always gone by is that the amp should have 1/8 impedance of the headphone or less to avoid any distorting.

Thats fine, but I have noticed a notable difference going from 2.5:1, and then to 8:1, and then to 12:1, and finally to 25:1, the latter being the best, and with my denons every step was clearly noticeable. And these are supposed to be some of the headphones that are least affected by impedance mismatch according to graphs, yeah right.

As has been mentioned a few times, razordogdeals will accept an offer of $300 on the HD600 through ebay. They did for me. New w/ warranty, free shipping, and they are an authorized dealer. Others have mentioned that they will accept offers of $350 on the HD650. Looks like this Amazon deal on the 650 is even lower. Very nice.
