Best to wait, maybe they'll go even lower :p
I've never tried them, but I guess they're kinda superfluous compared to the T1, so I'll save my money for now.

Schiit Lyr with 2 sets of tubes, like-new for $385: http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B004T335BK/ref=sr_1_1_olp?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1341641952&sr=1-1&condition=used

ir

Not exactly... the AKGs do have a wider soundstage and slightly more detailed mids. Other T1 owners can cry foul all they want, but I have both headphones and two good ears. :D

I'm grasping at any reason to save money, stop that! :p
I've also been holding off because of the dreaded bumps on the headband, can't abide with an uncomfortable headphone (though I'm sure you'll tell me that's not an issue either).

If these T1 deals are still going in a few days I might just have to pick one up and settle the HD800 vs T1 for myself once and for all.

Well, I can settle it for ya in just one sentence, if you're interested. :D

The MonoPrice 8320s are on sale for $5.98 when you enter the code MPHIFI  at checkout.

Don't let the price fool you. I own these, and can attest to the fact that they sound very nice, and can hold their own with some of the $50-$100 IEMs from some of the bigger companies.

I certainly hope this isn't true because I've been planning on getting the Shure SE215 ($99) and while the sound quality on these 8320s is certainly very, VERY good for the price ($8) their upper mids/highs aren't accurate.

Considering you own the T1 and not the HD800 I can only imagine.

Well, I had the HD800 on extended loan, and can tell you it's worth its $1500 price tag, the T1 OTOH should only be purchased when it's on sale...

I will be getting the HD800 at some point, but I'm in no hurry, I think I'll wait until Colorware has their Cyber Monday sale again.
