a bit off topic, but...

does anyone know wether import charges are applied when you buy directly from Hifiman and have the headphone shipped to Canada?
thanks

all import charges SHOULD be charged by default.
If the item is declared at a lower value, it would mean that, if it gets lost, the company risks the cost of the purchase on them.
However if it has a value on it, and is sent - and gets lost - company gets their money back.
Thing is, you would be paying import duty + VAT

This is my understanding of the subject after researching it, during my ASG-1 purchase.

You should be taxed but a lot of places will ship the package with a lower value at your risk. (I asked hifiman about this and they were willing to do it.$

Or take a trip down to the states xP
I did that with my T5p... Ordered it to the US and just brought it back over myself. Saved on shipping and no international shipping risks.
Or organize it with a trusted member taking a trip. I go down 2-3 times a year, next time is in June.

Dakmart has mixed reactions on the net. Some say they are great while others not so much. If you can pay with paypal, I'd say go for it though. They're also an authorized retailer of Sennheiser...somehow.
