Are you talking American or Canadian prices? I generally consider it a good deal up here if something goes on sale and matches the US non-sale price.

The HD25-1-ii is normally $250-300. The Adidas version is normally $300-400.

Strangly enough, I don't think it's even available on the Canadian side of their website.

I think you have to remove the earpad and find some sort of locking mecanism, that is the same on the 600 and the 650, i think

No locking mechanisms to look for in any of these Senns.
Seconds in google.  Just pull gently on the plugs and they come out.

Whoa, just the plugs, not the speakers or anything else. One is red and the other is black. The link in my previous post leads to pictures of the plugs and a recabled 'phone so you can tell which are the plugs.

Where the cable enters there should be a plastic piece (maybe rubber, but probably plastic) that "enters" the plastic headphone cup. On the Adidas versions I think they are a single color, black. Those should pull out of the headphone cup unless the adidas design is different.
