SONY IER-Z1R

How do you like them? Hmm why not on z1r? I find it made my z1r sound better vs eartips.

Though mine are a little bulky and very rubbery ... they are very sticky, can be tricky to snug in and out.

I find it changed the treble it became less fatiguing and not so sharp. Easier on my ears.

Also comfort wise is much better and allows me to hear more details to.

Not as sound isolating thought and I find that weird, cause custom eartips ussually are more isolating . I compare them vs final type e with acomply foam inside... vs sony stock tips they are 50% more isolative....

Overall I am happy. Still requested an readjustment in 4 spots. Concha ball and the corners they made it slightly larger, claiming that z1r is a heavy iem and they though it would hold tighter this way......
mine feel not so rubbery.and are.more.isolating. I feel the sound becomes.more.live and.lie it, but die to the heaviness of Z1R, the IER-Z1R spins around.and sometimes breaks seal

Oh danggy.

No fit issues for me. Adv made custom fit specialy for z1r its super snug and never spin due to a sort of a socket molded to fit z1r as a perfect connection in between bothe...
My custom eartips are made of soft glossy sticky medical silicone . I think this is why its less sound isolating but super comfy though.
And consider this I am in a very noisy environment worse then airplane lol.
I am in a semi truck it shakes knocks and jumps. And wind noise from windshield and mirors. Still cuts like 85% of all of this so its pretty good.

My hearing changes from day to day, which allows me to pick up certain bits of audio in a song I never picked up on before. Sometimes I hear a far better separation of instruments one day and not the next. This is while listening to the same songs/albums.

None of this is scientific, so just roll with what works for you.

for me too they do cut lots of noise, I have tested them in public transport, both bus and underground train

Wow. That's like two giant IEMs fused together. I'm guessing they'll look something like this in your ears?

Lmao no not really to those extreams haha.

But I assure you they're snug tight and solid in my ears never felt of.

The custom ear tip is inside the ear so technically the iem is slightly more outside the ear as compared to when you got the sonys tips....

I went out to demo a few daps , $2000 to $6000 USD price range and ended up getting a great deal on this Sony iem. Lets see how it sounds after some burn in.

Congrats! It will sound the same as it does now, so you might as well listen to it to get used to the sound.

Ok wizard

there will be changes during burn-in, some to the iem and some to your brain but nothing major. So if you like them now you’ll like them more and if you don’t at all like them now I don’t think any amount of burn-in will make you like them

I liked my friends 7 month old unit and the demo unit.
