Thanks, I didn't realize they had cables from malaysia, i've seen many ex1000 cables from japan and china, but many other cables are made in China.
Must find new cable
You might as well forget it, any company selling 4.4 custom cables, you are going to pay high prices, your only option is reterminate you own cable, OEM Sony EX1000 start from USD 60, 4.4 connectors can cost from USD 1.5 as shown below.Their cables start at $150, I'll wait for a while and see how mine holds up. Not really worth it for me to spend half the cost of the iem itself on a cable. Im not one who believes in drastic sonic changes from cables either, this for me is just a desire for a meatier, more durable cable. I'll just be careful with mine. Im sure 150 is fair, Its just not worth it for me.

These are mine, purchased them a long time ago, they are just lying around.
every time i'm about to put these up on the chopping block, they wow me again with good recorded material.
yeah, always liked AiC but just got this unplugged lp recently and its amazing. The recording of the acoustic guitars is just....beautiful. All the string plucks and crunches....beautiful. Gonna have to go and find the whole unplugged series. When mtv was still mtv. do they still do the unplugged concerts?

I have been away from HF forum for a long time. These days I don't use iem's that much, but whenever I do I am still amazed by the EX1000 for the sound.
I am an EX1000 user since April 2012, and still using the same pair after I got a 2nd pair a few yrs ago as backup pair.
The EX1000 is definitely the keeper for life of music.
