Sorry, it should say Hook-X.

I am enamored with them. Legend X is much better in every measurable category. However, if I’m leaving my house and both are waiting to go, I take the Hook-X over the Legend X. No knock at all on LX, only a compliment to Hook-X.

Weirdest list I’ve seen I’ve gotta say… what sort of signature usually appeals to you? I think it’s strange that you feel 5-8 can be interchangeable as they all sounded the same, they graph very differently.

I have not heard the MEST, but I found the Anole VX really "plasticky" and harsh. Lots of people love them though!

how would you define aggressive? U-V shaped? fast? loud?

After mulling over your question and thinking out loud... if you are looking at U/V shaped tuning with good hitting sound quality you may well consider a Trio or an IE600.
For both of them there are regularly good deals appearing on the Classifieds page..
