I like its DD bass and overall quality more. It may not have Mentor's imaging capability, but it's tonally more 'correct' to my ears. It has that 'Sony' house sound that is easy to listen to and well-designed

Besides SQ, XM5 also has lighter shell, wireless form, comfortable fit, noise cancelling, giving it more value

I have had xm3 and now xm4, and I must admit their wireless convenience and noise cancelling ability makes them get more use than many more way expensive sets.

But the fact you like xm5 more than mentor makes me want to sell my entire collection buy xm5 and quit the hobby lol

I would love to hear the madoo typ821. had the viking ragnar for a week and while it was extremely impressive technically I didn't enjoy the sound signature enough to justify the expense. I did really really like the 2021 Annihilator but the fit didn't work for my ear. do you think the madoo might scratch that top tier treble itch?
