 That's why it is so nice buying used gear, And why the for sale forum here is so great-You have the opportunity to try out gear.

 
You should find the matching Concero DAC too ... 
 
I'm a big believer in source and I'm not sure that just an amp is going to *dramatically* change your results, though it should certainly be evident over just running out of your DX90's headphone output ...
 
(not what you want to hear, most likely but if your like the rest of us, the spending has just begun...)

That is why I like vintage eletronics. If you buy at the right price, you can either get your money back, or maybe even make some, if you decide to sell, talk about win, win!.

I am just listening to some classical music with the PS1000e and it gives me goosebumps. Though it can sound too thick to my taste sometimes, Depending on the recording, But the color of the sound is so crisp and full that i can't stand it-It is sublime!

In all seriousness though. If they have improved as much as the gr10e did from the gr10, i might need to try it.
