I replaced the original solder with newer solder and the old hot glue holding them together with newer hot glue.
These mods made the sound

The other set ,just sprayed up to look nice and glossy.
If I can ill put some black or brass mesh in side them to finish them of.
You will prob need to do the hair drier mod with the hair driers though.
My son called the first lot of cups Macker Packers from the cartoon as the so big lol.
These we will call the regency set and they are pretty big to.they are made From mahogany .

It only showed it that way because of aplhebetising. ( I THINK). Maybe we could ask Jude or Currawong how the timing and PM system works? (Im still miffed at the fact i was a minute early despite my dumb computer telling me it was 11:00, but oh well...)

i too was going off my pc clock until i realized it may or may not be synced. i had a few online clocks opened in multiple windows and my pc clock was off by ~20sec.

Check the 1/8th inch I built today... Ive never braided anything in my life... its 22awg single strand copper... sounds like its a cable connected to my amp lol no interference or noise so far, rocking the sr225i now... ps500 time soon!

I've found two more sets of cups in my bag of cast-offs that will hold a driver and don't have any serious defect. 
I'm willing to give these to the four contestants........but.....I'm not paying shipping.
 
How about this? I'll send all four sets to alrgees, he takes the set he likes and sends the rest to jmoore914, he takes the set he likes and sends the rest to tritonessub, he sends the last set to Ahorsenamedjeff and a horsenamedjeff sends me $10.

Thats a genius plan! Great thing is, tritonsub and I live in the same city so no shipping required! Triton and I will send you 15$. What are the problems with the other cups? Also, can you make sure they will fit a Grado headband? or teach us how to MAKE a Grado headband fit?
