Oh man my recent SR-60 recable is starting to sound soooo good... I'm a little scared to do the 4 hole mod but until I do that the SR-225 bass is definitely going to be better, but I'm getting better clarity, extension, and impact from these right now.

Grado modding is most definitely srs bizness haha

  1. punched all then holes
  2. damped the driver with blu tack
  3. removed the plastic from the driver's back and front plastic grill and replaced it with a metal one
  4. replaced cups with jaben aluminium cups
  5. reworked the cable and refinish it with a VA lab plug
  6. "fake" jumbos, included in the cups combo
  7. all this thanks to the SR60 mod thread

That is so hot!!! Very good job!

That's why we need to diversify!  We can't just rely on one supplier or one individual for ideas.  If so, things come to a halt pretty quickly.

Names to keep in mind:

techheromods.com

Martin Custom Audio

Cabillas

Also, don't forget about cables: Mogami, etc.  Connectors: Neutrik, etc.  Pad customizations: sock mods, etc.

Improve the experience!

I really hope they don't delete the SR-60 mod thread.  There's incredible amounts of useful information and months and months of work in that thread.  It would be a real shame.  It would be impossible to try to transfer all of that info over here.

Also, it's still a great idea to start a new thread since this one is also very, very long.
