Does it attach straight away, or do you have to file down the pins?
And can you measure for me the width of the headband at the top of the arch? And the thickness of the padding?

You so need to file the pins a little. I don't have mine anymore for the measurements though, sorry :frowning2:.

They attached straight away on my wooden slip on cups, and hold firmly. I might and probably should drill the holes ever so slightly so the pins slip further in. the top of the arch is wider than the grado band, at approx 1 3/4" and more padded on the inside approx 1/2 " at inside center of arch. also the first photos didn't show there is writing on the top of the band "STUDIO MONITOR"

Thanks. I inquired about this headband, but trewaudio wanted 60$ shipping (!), so I'll try and get an American friend to pick one up for me.

That's a cool headband. I still want to build with the stock headband though, so I can someday have the time to get back in the machine shop and make some blocks and gimbals.

Any chance any of those stock bands be being replaced will be hitting the for sale section of the forum? I'll have to keep my eyes open there

I can't put anything up for sale yet (not yet active for a month), so I'll have to wait until I put up any parts or my Vintage Sennheiser 424. I'm located in the Netherlands, so shipping fees might be too high for American buyers.

Finished these up this weekend...Two-tones in Mahogany and Walnut, made slim enough to go on a Sony MDR7502 headband:

They would work for a pair of SennGrados too I suppose :).

Has anyone tried a Bushmills style mod? I am considering it if I can find someone to make some closed or semi-open wood cups,to try with some liberated 80i &/or 125i drivers.
