...still on the "More Comfortable Grado" project...solved the bass problem with pad-rolling. @stratocaster will be gratified to know, it was indeed the velour/leather pads making them them behave the way they were. Anyone recognize the pads I ended up putting on them to solve my problem?

Nope, just a pair of Ear-Zonk G-Cush stretched waaaaay further than I initially felt was appropriate. Works nicely though.

They work well enough...not sure how I feel about the density of the foam though...I tried washing the L-Cush ones I have to soften them up, to no avail...

I just pulled the trigger on a set of Magnums from Turbulent. I already have a set of Vibro Classics and a Black Manta. All I need now are a set of aluminum gimbals and my Grados will be totally non Grado

Funny cups :) I haven't seen wood cups like this :)

They are odd indeed. Same dimensions on the outside as a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770, just no bar across the middle for model name...

Is there any way to mod a RS2i to detachable cables, e.g. for a short one ("mobil" use) and a long one (home use at a full size amp)? Interesting thread too, some nice mods - great work
