How many coats of paint you think will be necessary to obtain (the 3d printed cups) a glossy/polished finish? Everytime I see the alpha dogs I imaging Mrspeakers painting a car...
 

Changing the subject: Made another headband. Always wanted to work with leather...

  Please share the model dl when this is all said and done. I would love to use something like shapeways to make a nice polished pair :D

Chatted to my local wood turner again! He's dropping some sleeves off at my office Tuesday afternoon. One pair in Maple, another in Mahogany. He has also churned out some prototype vented, closed cups. Can't wait to get a look at them and try a pair of Grado and a pair of Koss drivers in them. Might even go with a pair of PX100 drivers....

Yo, everyone. I've decided that I should frankenstein myself up a pair pseudo-Grado's. I got the packaging that I'll be using from a pair of JVC HA-S600's. I'll be using SR60i drivers, a swapped cable (Blue Dragon?) and new pads.

no its not stained pine, its red, natural color. Local people call it sumpung, its one of Borneo wood. Its Swintonia spp, but I dont know it name in English.
