Ah, but what if she was wearing ONLY the sunglasses and said, "Take what you want" ? Then you could listen to your orthos (now very stylish) while riding around NYC on your new Vespa!

Call me old fashioned, but I'm still a big fan of Vespas and stylish Italian women.

Italian women are always stylish, but vespas are almost impossible to find, replaced with scooters and other motorcycles without a soul.

If 'stylish' just means 'without pants' I could live with that.

Leather boots usually make me gag, mainly because of the kind(s) of women wearing them. Crocs and rain boots (the feminine kind, with hearts or something on them) make me gag regardless.

Whoops.

Oh good, as long as they are not the trashy ones, indeed. What do neo-hippie style leather boots look like?

... as I further derail the thread.

Faust, I need that pic for my wallpaper!

To try to get the thread back on orthos, I received my package from kintsaki with the Grado headbands and the Senn pads that were discussed in another thread. I think I'll send the pics to HeadRoom too, but here they are with a HD414 yellow foamie and my YH-3s/K601s for reference. Interesting to note that the smaller pad is just a hair larger than my YH-3 pads in all dimensions. The bigger Senn pads have a little lip about 3-4mm high on the inside and they are very close in dimension to my velour K601 pads.

If any of you recognize these pads, please let us know which model Senns they belong to so we can order replacements. I have two sets of the small pads, but only one of the large and the lip is cracked on one.

The smaller one looks like (or reminds me of) my old HD25-1 pads - too big to go on the portable NC phones I think. They come in velour as well as pleather. Anyone else agree?

Not as fashionable as you look with the Pickering..damn am blinded for life. That's a lot of shine you got on there.

I like the K1000 look that the koss has and believe it would do great with the SFis but the pioneer I am still skeptical..anyhow..since i already bought them..we'll see how it turns out.

Dang, sachu, you've come up with some real.. interesting.. headphones. The Monitor 10 is modeled after studio headphones and should provide a good earpad seal, but to open the back to take advantage of the seal you'll have to get out your hole saw and/or drill.

The Koss.. well, that's the first headphones I ever tried. It's more than 40 years old and almost identical to Koss' first headphone of 1958. It sounds terrible, it's uncomfortable and it's unbelievably huge and klunky. Please don't put SFI drivers inside it except as a horrible macabre joke.

..."K1000"...?

Oh, almost forgot. Got the revised Fostex T50RP today, the one with the new-style earpads that F2D introduced to us. F2D is correct, it does have bass and shows promise. Big underdamped midrange hump an octave higher than the typical Orthodynamic's, so modding it will be more difficult. Does it sound anything like the original T50? no. But it's a lot closer than the earlier-version T50RP.
