Such an uncomfortable headphone is the T30. My fat head can deal with hybrid pads for a short period, but the velour's foam is too narrow and stiff. Those cheap hybrids are probably the most comfortable pads EVER too, but they still fully can't remedy T30 discomfort. Needs enclosure swap but I don't want to deal with the hassle since I'm getting an RP18. To classifieds. @VanHai has dibs if he wants

edit: Will sell at purchase price. It was sold cheap imo by VanHai so that is why he has dibs.

T30 rescinded. Sorry @takato14

T30 needs some front damping. Brown circle felt is stock. I am replacing with this less obstructive felt (green). Inner diameter bigger so covers less driver

The cheap taobao shell I was gonna transplant the T50v1 drivers into cracked so instead I stuck them in the DT880-2003 shell I had lying around. Perfect fit!

Yeah, all that's needed is a philips screwdriver to detach them, and the baffles are pressure-fit in so those were easy to remove too

There you are! Do you remember the model name for Beyer clone? Did it need cutting? Did cables have to be removed and soldered?
I used an HD330 and cut out the thick plastic grill and replaced with curved woven steel mesh (none of that silly flat stuff).
Not the most elegant work, but it works.

This one I did for a friend, he actually wanted to keep it single-sided with 3.5mm stereo plug, which just stays there with the tension of the screw/nut.
(This was before spraying the grills black.)

I re-used the cables that were present in the headphone for the signal to reach from left channel to right.

My mylar version uses an older DT770 shell with the same open-back mod
+ snazzy DIY headband :p
+ comically over-sized cable strain relief/grommets :D
+ original Kennerton Odin ear pads (not pictured)
+ Furutech FHD-35 cable (thanks @nick n )
+ Neutrik plug

Hi there,

Just wanna make you remember that DT550s are, however, a perfect choice for PMB6 driver implant. They fit like a charm.

Wouldn't the bass extension die out in this kind of headphone?
