T10 resoldered and working again. These are well balanced and non-fatiguing. Doesnt have the technical abilities of bigger brothers. Im not sure if they are on Yamaha YH1 level (stock) but T10 makes up for it with better balance. The stock damping uses the fancy yellow wool discs that are in T30 and T50 which tends to keep intact better so if youre lucky you dont have to mod T10 at all. I think the T10 I had previously had very worn pads that gave zero cushion. These have some cushion and wear fine.

edit: ill add more comparisons to YH1 etc later

Gentlemen, any info on this one? Is it a planar? Thanks
Looking at it from all sides, it doesn't seem likely.
Especially considering the black fabric ear pads. That's pretty much a dynamic giveaway.

Hi guys. Got the first prototype of my 3D printed T50V1 cups, and they turned out pretty good!

Anyone know what angle these little indents on the driver are? I want to fill in the other two bumps in my cup design but don't have a protractor on me.

Hey @BucketInABucket . Good to see you. I thought you were out of the vintage ortho game.

Nice cups. Sorry, I dont know the angles. Perfectionist!
Hiya! I downsized my collection for the most part but I still have a lot of stuff lying around, so I decided to try it out because I had time and spare funds :D

Definitely still need a measuring rig though

Be warned! This one seemed promising on the picture, but not a planar. A very poor build quality dynamic, in fact. Stay away from it.
(HP-700 is the type you want to avoid).

Instantly reminds me of the Pickering OA7.

Subjectively I've found YH100 to have more dynamic bass compared to YH1. And with mods Ive found I can coax a little more bass out of stock enclosure with YH100 in comparison to YH1 in stock enclosure. Attached is a graph of YH100 vs YH1 in Sony enclosure (khbaur tuning mods incomplete atm - im getting to it, both YH100 and YH1 have the same incomplete damping mods etc).

edit: Minidsp EARS, Geekria ZX1000 pads on both

More Akai ASE-40 padroll. The blue ones are super comfy but sound the worst, bass bloom, treble dip, claustrophobic. These newest black ones are described as “pillows” and they are super soft but with a wider inner dimension that the blue pads. Hoping they give the best balance, will update.
