Hello orthoheads.

I am in need of some help please.
Anyone have a Broken Yamaha YH-1 or HP-1 frame? I need a pair (or even 1) of the strut joints from them. The pieces that join the cup to the headband.

Thank you

Hey, guys:wave:
Does anyone have in possession 3D model of plastic part that is meant to cover a base of Fostex's T30 righ-left extenders? Spare parts will do too.

Maybe you know someone or have clues who might have what I need. Any help is highly appreciated.
I had the same problem with those missing caps, just make a template for the shape and cut 2 pieces from Pax-mate. Peel them off and stick them to the area and voila, problem solved.

Hi guys I recently picked up a box of headphones from a retro audio gear reseller. Among them are a number of sets of Fostex T20rp v2's. I enjoy them quite a bit and have a set I've mass loaded the baffles on and replaced the pads. That seems to have helped with the low end but I was hoping someone here would have more experience or some general advice.

@nick n

Bretty good sounding :) I made new measurement I use artificial ear to measure my headphones today. Midrange is a bit dry and sub bass lacking but without those imperfections it's perfect sounding.Very smooth and vocal.

This is the best place to start.

Hi Greq and thank you for pointing me in that direction, There is some good advice there albeit for the newer models than what I have. I've looked at a number of guides for modding the Fostex Tx0rp's but everything seems to reference the later sets with square drivers. All of mine are the older "v2" version from around the nineties with round drivers. I've seen a few mentions of them in this thread but not much of anything for a comparison to the newer sets. Nor do I have a newer set yet to compare and attempt to draw parallels. Hopefully I can remedy that soon but I have another baby due in March so it will be after that when things settle down a bit.

Ah, those are not not the "T20RP V2", those are simply the T20RP.
Those from the original T-series are usually just called T20's.
So it goes T20, T20RP, T20RP mkII, T20RP mkIII.

'V' (version) is usually reserved for multiple iterations or variants of the same headphone with minor technical or cosmetic differences.

In any case, just slap on some genuine Shure SRH840 pads on those bad boys and call it a day.

I would love to hear Yamaha but they are usually overpriced 😭 What I dislike is that they are over-ear and can't be used long time.What Denon SH-90 sound like? There is not much info about them and did not measurements either.
