As promised, pics of the T30 with XB700 pads.  I've been listening to a bunch of genres and haven't found one that sounds bad yet.  Listening to Gregorian chant now.  Needless to say, bassy music really sounds good.  The pads are a pretty good match in size to the baffle.  The inner diameter of the pads is about the same as the inner diameter of the driver opening in the baffle, just a little bigger.  I used carpet tape to attach the pads.  I also have XB500 pads that came with a $20 XB500, but my ears just fit inside those pads and I think they'd be uncomfortable after a while

That's a modern door knob.  The rest of the house has ones from the 30s with fancy brass plates.  The previous owner had painted over every one of the plates.  My wife painstakingly removed 6 layers of paint from them.

If I don't find a T30 by the time my hair turn grey, I will grow one.

I've had my beard since 81 so almost no one knows what I look like without it.  I also have sensitive skin so it hurts to shave.  Fortunately, my beard is very soft.

Same here - had the beard since 1986 (hurts to shave, but it's soft).

Oh my. I just realized I've had this beard, except for very short and scary intervals, since the fall of 1969 (my oldest son even created a Facebook page for it and gives the Beard all the nastiest lines he can come up with). But it looks like we've already formed that Bearded League of Planarphiles (BLOP). Nickchen can be a member emeritus.

My beard comes and goes.  I usually go about 6-7 weeks at the longest except this year I made 11 weeks from after Christmas till early March.  I do go for 4-6 days without shaving all the time though.  My usual mode is scruffy if I'm not traveling or visiting customers.

Side note:  If you guys like the Beastie Boys, their new album came out today and it is just awesome.  I've had it on repeat for the last hour.  The bass through my Denon CDP feeding my Stax SR-001s with custom tips would make the RP18s blush, but the 001s are still on the dark side for me so I need to mod the 001 amp...

I have all of my orthos torn down waiting on a cable so I can swaps cables around between my KH-83s, RP18s and TPs.  I've misplaced my modded T20v1s, but they get a new cable when I find them...

I usually go that long between trims.  It's been as long as 6 inches.  I basically trim it back every time I have to fly ever since an Iranian stylists at the Hair Cuttery I go to wanted to shave my beard off because I looked like a mullah.

Does that mean you'll be issuing fatwas against those infidel dynamic driver users?
