I was joking about the math thing - it does take a second though, but dedicated LEDs for each one (which is something a few of my other DACs have) can be annoying due to brightness, and can also take up more room on the panel.

But enough about that - this thing continues to impress me with the sound. Mostly neutral with just maybe a hint of warmth. Or maybe it's not warm at all, but the top end is done right so it doesn't sound so "digital". Great soundstage too.

Am really curious if it would pair well with a strong tube amp..like my 337. Or is it better to get a classy chord chordette qutehd or the new ingenious nad m51?
does anyone going to take this cutie to the london headfi meet end of april?

X-Sabre sounded FANTASTIC, it was really heavy, but it should be in my future purchases!

Cant find any reviews on the xsabre anywhere..so weird..normally wellknown reviewers receive a preproduction model or a first series model to test it out..but this looks like very secret...i wanna like the x-sabre..really..but no one except for our beloved headfi'er had a xsabre really on a testing bench so to speak...when can we expect reviews guys.. Anyone knows? I wanna buy one or a metrum octave (i heard from the owner himself they areworking on a usb version of the octave thats going to be under the 1000euro mark, it will be out in a couple of months) or a chord qutehd or the nad m51...all are in my view..but matrix is only one not properly reviewed..yet! Can anyone aks them to sent review models out?
or better yet..let me take one to the london headfi meet end of april..i will be putting him one on one with the nad m51 that another member will take with him..

Patience. Only I and project86 have one. There are several impressions in the Austin meet thread and a bit of comparison in the Concero thread. I will be posting my Austin impressions tonight and doing a bigger X-Sabre post for here afterwards. As far as getting one for yourself you will have to go through Arthur at Matrix USA.

That is probably project86. As far as I know there are only the two here at the moment.
