I would agree but i havent heard the RS1, but honestly the jh-13's are pretty much the best phone for everything

jh13s aren't "the best" but they're way better than RS1s. At anything.

As stated before, I think the JH13 are the best on the IEM market, but still they cannot really compete to a "big" can like O2 or HD800. The stage is somehow different and - for me - is more natural on big cans. Can be compared with speakers vs. big cans IMHO.

Today I tried JH13 with Leben cs-300X and Lektor Prime CD Player

And it sound GREAT, really unbelievable, I heard JH13 on some really great rigs, but this one beat them all. Dont believe people, when they say you need only portable amp for Customs, customs shine with desktop amps.

don't understand though, why would a custom (iem) need a desktop amp? Wouldnt a portable amp be more than enough to "power" them? Thought only fullsizes needed those huge desktop amps. =\ enlighten me.

It is not about power, but about quality of amp. When you show me portable amp which sound on level of Leben 300 or Beta 22, I would be happy to buy one.

Comparing the beta22 to 98% of all amps is unfair. A fair one would put the slim/rx/shadow against maybe heed canamp.

Typically how long does a refit take. I know they are in production mode for the 16 but will that delay my refit. Just asking.

it took less than 2 days for them to make mine from scratch, I doubt you'll have to wait long for a refit.
