Thanks for the suggestions, will place the Fx850 and the ie80 at the top of my list, though I with the amount of fake IE80's out there I'd need to be cautious. 
 
The $200 cap would be nice to follow, but if theres something out there that costs a little more but could potentially be an endgame to the sound sig Im looking for then I'd be all ears.

tbh there are better "endgame" options as far as outright bass is concerned, for my part they are just soft suggestions given your provisos of unamped, removable cable, and soundstage (personally don't even like ie80, though fx850 were a favorite)

Suggest taking a look at vapman's suggestion too, as he's an actual basshead (unlike me) -  I've had more removable cable socket problems (including ie80) than I have ever had fixed cable problems, though everyone handles things differently so I guess there could be some real cable manglers out there.

Thinking about giving Beats a try.

sorry for the delay in a suggestion to look at.   just got a pair of Moxpad X90 bluetooth delivered.  not had them long but the bass is satisfactory straight out of the box given price point.  yet to amp 'em up & run some Bass Mekanik etc thru 'em but i am pretty happy with them.  only around $20-ish on aliexpress   a sport based iem's w dual drivers & #34 on headfi wireless list

I suggest taking a look at the Sony ex800/7550, I got mine for 178 on Amazon

That's a steal. Ex800ST is a bass MONSTER.

It was a steel, it was used but sold by Amazon so I still got the same warranty as new but I have seen other sets go for around the same price

I love the heck out of the 7550/ex800 but i would not recommend it to anyone trying to use it with a DAP or phone directly. unless that phone can push a screwton of amp power for a phone.

I can drive them OK out of my dap not so much out of a phone,but of course they sound way better with an amp. The other thing is the incredible annoying cable but still for the price I think there an incredible value especially if you consider that you can have 2 different sound signatures

You need something like the Cayin C5. Really brings out the bass in bass boost mode. Sublime. Simply sublime.

Even the U8 with 4BA just for bass just makes it.  Not sure how a set with 2 BA for bass could ever be more than bassy/good at bass

Thanks. I recently visited their site & they were offering this model for Bass enhancement. per your (& the other headfiers) List, this has been my go to for scouting my Basshead IEM. Right now the '64 ears are really out of reach for me. That's why I'm looking everywhere.
