As someone that has been using the HD25's daily at work for years, I got to a point I just accepted the clamp force and overall discomfort of these headphones. Well, I got some Meze 99 Classics recently and you probably know where I'm going with this. I feel like I stepped out of an iron maiden and into a warm bubble bath.

I remember we had some discussions a quite a few pages I am on the market for a second pair of these so let me know if you get bored with yoursNo, it has been unobtanium for a long time. I bought a used pair from a guy on here, disassembled them completely and soaked all the parts in Simple Green. Recabled, new pads, they're great.

No way! I hardly ever sell anything. I'll put my Chord Mojo up for sale pretty soon but I can't remember anything else I ever sold.
Unfortunately for us, quite a few aluminums have been listed by Americans. Just not worth taking the chance to try and import one here

OK, apparently you're right. I've found them presumably available at one of our European vendors here, but this as well might be just a leftover from a rather old stock or the the effect of this site's listing not updated.

That price is pretty high but they're definitely in the collectible category these days, especially NOS.
The guys were talking about the Aluminums, the Amperiors (that I joked about) also have aluminum cups, but have different drivers and the Aluminums are considered better than the Amperiors.

I bought a used pair of Amperiors, just to get the alu cups. They are very nice.

I'm really liking them! I've only been listening to CDs and Spotify so far, but tonight I start pulling out records.

These are solid sounding cans for their price, and very nicely made as well. Enjoy!

A bit pricey 300€, current ones are 99€... interesting nevertheless, but at that point, I would love an upgraded drivers. Either that, or a hd6xx closed version...
or an hd25 audiophile special version... something like that. Silver not cool too. matt black all the way.

You can make your own special version if you like. Mine have an Oyaide cable, alu cups, 600 ohm drivers and some nice fluffy velour pads. Wonderful.

You can also fit the current 70 ohm drivers as far as I know.
