Grado RS1i Impressions thread

I find my RS1i's quite different to my MS2i's, the RS1i has some more detail in the mids and highs. I use my MS2i's with G-Cush though.

I agree they are very different. I'm using RS1i with G-cushions though and the MS2i I've only used with L-cushions

I found the MS2i okay while I love the RS1i.

Quite a long thread this is, so pardon if I ask something that may have already been discussed---what's the difference between RS1 unbuttoned and RS1i? Both physically and sonically.

This thread gives you the physical differences:

I don't think there's a complete consensus over the sonic differences, so you're best doing some searching rather than relying on one person's opinion (I've never heard a buttoned RS1 either, so can't help here ... )

Yep , it adds bass ,and its not for me
I like my rs1i straight, with the occasional flat pad thrown in

Anyone knows the differences between the new E edition and the old i edition ?
Any reviews about it ?
I have 80e and 80i, difference is more detail on treble plus it's less course (finer treble). It g
ot closer to an RS1i, without the wooded effect of course. And the difference is a LOT. And I just used plain iPhone 5s.
